Tried to skip Alita from AüR you do make it hard now, good job Ian.Lovely picture @metaljem77 and exactly what this hobby should be about - the people and the memories (and some music along the way!).
While I'm here, I've just posted my review of the AuR Audio Alita. It definitely deserves some attention, especially for those after perfect timbre and tonality for classical, small ensemble and jazz.![]()

Cheers!
Once you get your Aure, if you find yourself wanting a wider stage, greater resolution and a warmer tonality then definitely think about picking it up.

FWIW, I found very few things the 2 have in common to be honest.I owned the Odin and was never enamored with it so I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the Raven.
I've had 3 different units in my ears by now and I have to say I hadn't even noticed they were big. And if you'd ask me in retrospect without having read the last 10 pages then I would've said "No, just normal size I guess".The only IEM that gave me a ton of fit issues there was the Noble Ronin. That thing was insanely chunky. I couldn’t get a definitive fit in the end.
Which makes me think: 10 pages? In 3 days?? You guys took a collective holiday or what??? Or, like Bruce would say, "Do you think this is a free ride?"

I just finalized purchase of a @doctorjuggles gold plated silver cable with 1/4" termination (complete with red accented y-split) for my Trifecta/LP6. The wait is on

I already have a hard time to keep upFWIW, I found very few things the 2 have in common to be honest.

I look forward to hearing U4s, but I’m expecting it to be more like Nio than 12t, and I’ll be very surprised if it can keep up technically with 12t.In other news, would highly recommend everyone to go try the new U4S - this is going to cannibalise the U12t market for sure. Had very similar mids and highs, with more sub bass and perhaps a bit narrower stage for a fraction of the price. If you want to tune the bass down like I did to be closer to U12t you can do it with the modules easily. Unfortunately you can’t call it kilobuck because it comes in $99 more than that.
That said, it could be a nice replacement/complement to the U6t, adding a bit of DD fun factor..

May I ask for more opinions for TOTL iems here. Which IEM get the most realistic timbre for instruments such as violin, piano, and guitar?
Great pic and sounds like it was a great time!
Keeping away the lovely cooler tag that Jim had kindly given… With excitement of CanJam over, the lingering euphoria of meeting Coolers and reminiscing over the great and wondrous bond we’ve come to forge (@Kiats, @HiFiHawaii808, @yaps66, @Sifo, @klyzon, @SteveK27, @AxLvR, @Deezel177), I almost teared up when the time came to say final goodbyes. I’m sure plenty will give their insights on gear, but that wasn’t the highlight of CanJam for me. @Eric Chong, who graced us with his time despite his crazy busy schedule to have lunch with us… till we meet again![]()
What are your thoughts on the EE Raven?
The IEM with the most realistic timbre is the Traillii for me. Jewel will be good as well. Multiverse Mentor would be a third.May I ask for more opinions for TOTL iems here. Which IEM get the most realistic timbre for instruments such as violin, piano, and guitar?
Alexzander
500+ Head-Fier
Plus one for Trailii. As for Mentor try it with stock Xelasteck or Spinfit W1.May I ask for more opinions for TOTL iems here. Which IEM get the most realistic timbre for instruments such as violin, piano, and guitar?
Thanks for your replies. All the three ones are my current considerations. Tough choice
