I always like the vocals on the Luna. Raw, natural, emotional.I never realized you were a Dunu Luna fan. I like it as well, though I rarely use it now.

I think the Allegro is quite balanced sounding with a more neutral bass response. Midrange is a touch forward. Treble is smooth and clean. I like how detailed and articulate the sound is.Nice advent calendar you have there!
How's Allegro?
Actually it's 24 haha. For me, 1 compartment for my top 12 IEMs, 1 compartment for my top 12 cables.Yes I know what I m
Inspiring. Great idea for a future poll. "Fill your own ideal 12 IEM Van Nuys case".
Will compare them directly when I'm free. Can't give you an answer now.How does F7U fare against Traillii?
Oh boy... here we go again... I am not a fan of hot chocolate either. Lemonades I am neutral about, though this one restaurant kind of close to me does serve this mint lemonade that is just incredible. No worries, they have you covered...

So I cannot disagree with you on some of these. I just think they are kind of irrelevant, at least in the context of those made up percentages I was describing. And thats not to dismiss your points, only to say that I didnt factor them in purpose. In part because I think things like an amp not being able to properly power the transducer is not something we are likely to encounter with IEMs. So in this context, I just wouldnt give it much weight. So yes, you are absolutely right, I was not speaking in absolute terms and didnt intend to. As with everything it was a subjective assessment in relation to what I listen to and what I have experienced. What I have always found is that the speaker, the HP, the IEM have the largest effect on the sound you will hear. Now when things are out of balance, another area can make a very large impact. For example, if you have a totl IEM and your source is an early dap playing 128k or less media and moved to a current totl dap using cd quality and well recorded material, the difference in sound will probably be larger than any transducer. Changing an amp that cannot properly drive a speaker would be another good example.

And since you mention it, low quality lossy encodings are another thing I didnt really include on purpose. I absolutely agree that a bad encoding will be quite noticeable in a negative way and replacing it with a higher quality encoding can make a large difference. But with how easily available high quality music is available these days I just again didnt think something like that needed to be included. Though, I will say this is likely another area I almost certainly wouldnt see eye to eye with most here. I think a high quality lossy encoding is more than good enough and any differences between it and a lossy encoding made from the same source are going to be extremely minimal to nonexistent when it comes to listening. That said, I would still seek out lossless for a collection whenever possible, since you can always encode to lossy from it if needed.
I think though thats probably enough of my unpopular opinions for the day. Again, thanks all for the discussion.

Darn it! Now you tell me.Totally random but I saw hot chocolate and I can't help myself.
Anyone in London or visiting London, please do yourself a favour and get a hot chocolate from Carpo (they have a few shops around town). Forget what you think you know about hot chocolate, or what you may have had before. It's a whole other level.
***, some of us are on a budget, I could only afford an 8 segment Van NuysInspiring. Great idea for a future poll. "Fill your own ideal 12 IEM Van Nuys case".
Bliss… I’m in love with FW10K, and now paired with DX320 Edition X.
