I am too lazy to check again, the power output is the same as SP2000 right? Not that I think it matters much given how well WM1Z M2 drove my IEMs.
It is ever so slightly more powerful (6.3 vs 6.0 Vrms).

Also probably gonna wait a bit, 2 months later it is gonna be SP3000 Copper Nickel edition or something.

Good thing about joining Team Sony is that there's a 99% chance you won't get anything else due to addiction to Sony tuning :joy:

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised at all at another edition shortly after. No Cu at launch definitely raises eyebrows. It’ll be one heavy dap though, the SS version is just shy of 500g!

That, and I'm sure they will drop a SP3000T at some point. Not as bad as UM however.

Some night time listening with Indigo and A / B testing with Solaris 2020, and it's starting to grow on me alittle now that I've put it through several hours of my playlist. The biggest thing I noticed is similar to @twister6 review of the Indigo which is the additional body and warmth in the lower mids compared to Solaris 2020 which gives it also a more grander feeling and sound profile. The detail, imaging and layering is definitely above Solaris and the width of the soundstage is very similar. This is a detail machine.

Bringing out some emotions on a few tracks but this thing makes orchestral, jazz and other instrumental compositions sound utterly immersive and sublime. Dynamics, speed and decay is very good. Dipping into the $2.7K USD range is very interesting but also makes me wonder what other sets haven't I heard yet for the same or similar amount of money.

You can also head over on twitter to see Fujiya Avic’s short video of the new GUI of the SP3K via the link below. It’s very reminiscent of the album flow view on the iPod. You can see how fluid the animation is too. The new SoC is doing it justice.

Now we only need to know how it sounds and a good graph for that.

Yeah the included cable doesn't look that great. Kinda like the Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk cable.

It works, though for 3.3k I could imagine something more... visually matching.

Hope the build quality holds up, my Indigo already has some blemishes, a small notch on the top of the right piece that disturbs the smooth edging between the shell and the metal casting on it and said casting also lost some silver flakes of metal(?) fell off when I fumbled with that notch, trying to see if there was something loose or not. (there wasn't, it still feels worse than before, when it was all smooth.)

I’m hoping my local shop would carry a demo but due to it being a limited release the chances are slim but we’ll see.

I say you could take that away to gauge how “expensive” it really is. I mean, they could’ve probably put the same SB cable on the Odin but have it drastically priced higher. I’m actually surprised at the price of both the IEM and the DAP. AK sacrificed storage to make the pricing on par with the previous flagship and lowering to the Ares II on the Odyssey to match the Odin.

Would I have liked a better cable? Yeah maybe since I’m all for aesthetics. But how many of the people actually buying it would use a stock cable?

I don’t doubt the Jewel is amazing, but based on what people say, the cable isn’t that great. At least the Ares II is a tried and tested cable. And the Jewel costs way more and it’s not even a limited release.

Heck, the bird even comes with what most consider an “end game” cable and a majority of owners use even more expensive cables on it.

I would’ve been even okay with it having no cables at all. This is coming from a guy that has way more cables than IEMs 🤣

I’d rather have a cheap cable sit in the box unused rather than an expensive one. But who knows maybe the Ares II had the best synergy with the IEM.

I haven’t had any problems with EE shells so far and I’ve had at least 4.
