Question is the Stax SRM-300 innards the same as a SRM-313
I was just curious because the voltage swing was listed 350v same as the SRM-313
Last week I had the opportunity to visit Stax HQ in Saitama. Highlight for me was listening to SR Omega from their "museum". I liked the voicing of it a lot, owning them very likely will remain only a wish.
At the end of the visit I made a short video of the museum (was just rushing over the items). If somebody is interested, here is the link:

So strange there no SR-2 or the mighty DMA-X2 600watt mono block power amp. Pretty much 2 of the most rarest Stax item I likely will never own.Last week I had the opportunity to visit Stax HQ in Saitama. Highlight for me was listening to SR Omega from their "museum". Maybe they never had more items, maybe it has something to do with their bankrupty mid of 90s or the change of their premises. Who knows...So strange there no SR-2 or the mighty DMA-X2 600watt mono block power amp. Pretty much 2 of the most rarest Stax item I likely will never own.
I imagine the feeling of the good old days....Maybe they never had more items, maybe it has something to do with their bankrupty mid of 90s or the change of their premises. Who knows...
It was always a small company, now having about 15 empoyees, and the guy said also in the 80s there were never more than 30 to 40.

https://www.tpdz.net/productinfo/995112.htmlWell, well, well. It looks like Topping has thrown their hat into the electrostatic amp ring. EHA5 $399. Spec sheet boasts of 700Vrms output and all sorts of measurements. No output current given though, so that 700V output figure should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm very curious to see what's on the inside of it, though I'll need others to do the circuit analysis. And it's cheap enough that I could order one, and compact enough for it to not be much of a problem to move in a few months...
