From any dealer in your country.
I love the sound of my 507, and found it markedly better than the 404LE, that I sold after receiving the 507. The 507 has tighter, heavier and deeper bass, more midrange detail and more delicate treble.
But the construction of the headband is flimsy. Yesterday on the left side op the phones the plastic square, through which the leather headband must be inserted, broke right trough the middle. I glued it back together and glued another piece of plastic on top to strengthen it, and finally I screwed it back on it's place with the tiny screw. I hope it will hold. An expensive headphone should be better contructed than this!
Does anyone know where I could get spare parts for the 507?
catsratch, perhaps it's your source material, not the headphone. bright, no! neutral, yes. i've owned sr lambda pros and currently sr507s. the stax gear is not bright. you have other demons in your system. EarHead1

I've had my 507's about a year now. Tried them with a Woo energizer but am getting much better results with a 323S . . . .

Raksasa,
+1 for GES. I have upgraded one though, so don't really know how good is a stock one sound... but I liked 507 with my GES much more than with HeadAmp KGSS, I guess it means something
BTW change stock tubes on GES is my strong recommendation, good tubes put sound of GES on a different level (at least with my upgraded GES)....
Thanks for the feedback DO.
What tubes did you put in your GES ?
Did you get all the upgrades - premium parts, attenuator & teflon sockets ?
The price of upgrades for GES in Oz from a dealer is quite a lot extra. Even direct from Woo.
Don't know if I could afford U/Gs AND replacement tubes.
Hmmmm, much to ponder . . . .
Cheers,
R
