wow then sony hq shd investigate their hk branch, i got mine directly from local sony pro shopNo noise on mine either. There isn't really much room in there for things to move around.
Maybe you got a Somy instead of a Sony.

Lol, well of course it's not normal for ANY electronic device to have something loose inside. That could cause damage to other components.
I actually thought you were pulling our chain with that question.

I think it sounds better overall than zx300. Zx300 balanced has more power, but I like the sound signature and overall totality of a105 better than zx300.

Single end vs single end I definitely like the A105 better than the ZX300 in terms of tuning. The ZX300 SE was a bit on the warm side and lack detail/clarity and it sounded more on the level of an A30/40, the A105 have two generations of improvement since then and tuning is more neutral in comparison and will match more earphones.

What about the balance vs the a105? Mine has only 38 hours burn in time so far so not sure if it will get much better after 200 hours but i i feel theres only a little difference but yhe sound of the a105 is clearer like the wm1a and the eq is more responsive.

hello,
new to the ZX507 thread. would like to ask regarding the play queue. will one be able to add a song or album to the currently playing queue, as next to play or to the end of the queue? thanks.

It's been awhile since I had a ZX300 from memory the ZX300 balance leans slightly warm/dark whereas the A105 has a touch more upper range sparkle which gives a sense of clarity so it depends a bit on what your preference is.
got the 2nd replacement from the local pro shop, checked the monitor, wifi, phone jack, buttons and shaked well this time to ensure the unit is problem free, and finally got a "normal" Christmas gift for my girl this timeLol, well of course it's not normal for ANY electronic device to have something loose inside. ab test with my zx507, the a105 is in fact quite close to it, making it a great value android dap in the market
Probably sony aint willing to design a bad sounding product to put their Anniv model into. Kinda make sense.
On the flipside the increase in base MSRP sure ruffle up people's feathers

4.4 mm to 3.5 mm comparison or 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm? I really do like the zx507 and the sound of the 4.4 mm out.
both 3.5mm, but i used and converter to test the zx507, maybe that would minimize their performance gap4.4 mm to 3.5 mm comparison or 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm? I really do like the zx507 and the sound of the 4.4 mm out.

Not much room in the chassis for things to shake, probably the battery came unglued. I had 2 wm1a both with bad pixels, I assume it was just part of a bad lot.
Sonys usually pretty good with QC, but anything can happen. Anyways glad you got a good one and yep it's a real good sounding dap.
Probably the best sounding 'small' dap. The sound does kind of remind me of wm1a, which was very good.
yes it sounds so good that i "regret" spending nearly 3 times to get the zx507 for myselfproably the best sounding 'small' dap. The sound does kind of remind me of wm1a, which was very good.
I got the blue one (Asian version). Using it from the past 8 days with MDR -1AM2. Completed about 50 hours of usage/ burn-in.
Looks like this pair is truly made for each other. Fantastic combination.
When compared to NW-A25, the new Walkman A105 sounds different and considerably better. Much better details and wider soundstage.
Volume level – 75 to 85 in most cases.
Battery life – I did not plan to use any streaming services. Have disabled all useless apps. So, using my collection of songs (mostly WAV lossless) and I can easily manage 10-15 hours of battery life. It is recommended to switch off the device when not in use to increase battery life.
Overall I like this player. Good job by Sony this time.
