The Ruizu X02 DAP thread

Sleep timer does not work like it should.
If you set 1 hour, and after 59 minutes you press "next song", it will shutdown 1 minute later.
It should shutdown 60 minutes after last button press, because if you press buttons, you are not sleeping :)

I would love this feature. I tend to have the device set to quite bright screen levels, and at night in bed a key press, or two like a Pause/play combo, would come in nice and handy rahter than getting eye burn looking at the screen and trying to reset the sleep timer.

One further comment. With both the Ruizu and the AGPtEK after you've connected to your PC to transfer files across, it doesn't remember the last played position. That should be an easy fix.

Hi

I think that is fine.
Just like the cellphone.
When you restart it, everything comes to home page.
If you want to mark your place, you could use the bookmark.
That is brilliant.
I always make a bookmark when I listen the audio book.

I  prefer this.
For me , When I set the sleep timer , I am really going to sleep.
I normally will set 1 hour, of course, I will do change the songs but I still want it to be turned off as I set before.
So if they do what you say, I couldn't imagine that how many sleep timer I would set.

Have a good night

I'll add some more to what I said before.

The Ruizu also doesn't remember where you last left off when you connect it to the PC.

I think at the very least the option for "Lasted Played" should still be there. I don't always make a book-mark. I shouldn't have to. It's not as if the device doesn't know where you were last at when connecting it to your USB port.

The AGPtEK is also not remembering the last played position when you use either the slider or the Play button to turn it off, or the sleep mode you can then turn it back on using the slider (if it was used to turn on the AGPtEK) or both the Play button or slider  to turn it back on.

The Ruizu remembers though.

For me, not having it resume is a bug in the AGPtEK when it almost all works in the Ruizu (except for the USB port connection), not a feature.

I know what you mean. But if I'm still using it while it's on sleep timer I'm still likely to be awake a little more longer because as per what Tyvek said:

because if you press buttons, you are not sleeping :)

I don't mind rewinding in the morning, as that's less of a hassle to me than staring into a bright screen when you want to try to sleep / firstworldproblems

A good night from me to you too.

So you could set it for long time ,like 90 mins or more.

Hey man,
I get it.
I try with my iPhone,
For example, once I quit the music APP and enter it again, it only could remember which songs I played last time without time point.
This function is almost like you say "Lasted played"
The X02 as far as I know, it is very easy and simple chip and software.
Of course, if X02 could do that , it will be awesome but may be more expensive.
For me,it is really a cheap and cheerful deal

I always forget to quote the model number. My Ruizu is an X06 (bluetooth) & the AGPtEK is an A06 (bluetooth). If it can run bluetooth (albeit poorly) it should be able to remember the "Last Played" position.

The nicest thing about the Ruizu and AGPtEK is the cheap and cheerful. If I was Leo, I would be thinking about potential numbers or niche market he could be developing for himself and getting quite an underground following for his AGPtEK. With the AGPtEK he already has a half-decent Sansa Clip+/Zip replacement. I won't be going back to them for the battery life in the AGPtEK & Ruizu alone, and the price point is killer. It's a price that people won't mind paying for something that's not likely to last a long time. A few tweaks to the firmware and this device would turn the heads of a lot of Sansa users. Not the Rockbox users, but then again there hasn't been a Sansa device I've owned that I haven't rockboxed. But this device has nearly every best aspect fo the Sansa's that I use most often, so I think even Rockbox users just looking for a great inexpensive MP3 player would find attractive in the AGPtEK.

Actually. I might just reset this AGPtEK because it's doing quirky things. If I long-press to turn off it's just turning straight back on again, plus resetting the volume level. Maybe a reset will get it working a little better?

That's one more thing I would like. I'd like it to remember the Volume Level setting when it restarts.

You are right! Thank you very much for the useful advice! I will talk to our colleague and make it better.

I hate to say that ,but A06's button still is not good as A02's because of the original design. We are working on the next generation Bluetooth player to solve this issue once for all.

I wouldn't recall Ruizu remembers last played with the slider to turn off. AGPTek and Ruizu both remember last played by press middle button to turn off. (However, the battery may drain out if you don't charge it for months.)

Thanks again!
