The Ruizu X02 DAP thread

Spocksbrain, for my 80's+ dad they will be just great.

- How do you arrange your stuff in the player?
I moved in directories tree with ~500 files, and they all appear in one long list.

How do you make playlists? can it be done on the PC and import to the player?

How does the X10 @ $20 compare to both X02 @ $ 17 and Sansas? My Sansa died on me and Im willing to lose a tiny bit of SQ. Hope the portability is OK though as the Sansa's really tiny and I love that.
Then another Q comes to mind: how do the Ruizus compare to higher end smartphones from now? Like HTC One, Sony Xperia T or Z etc.

Most important for me is if anyone is willing to try if the Ruizu plays .APE. No APE no Ruizu for me! :)

Buy Sansa Clip Zip.
How do the Ruizus compare to higher end smartphones? Something like that (Ruizu is like old lady):

Poor ruizu. Thanks anyway as i was looking for a player which i could take along with my phone, but if it's much poorer than it makes no sense

Well this is a subjective hobby and I prerer the X02 over the clip, especially if both is paired with a amp.

X02 is more aggressive then Clip. Everything else is better in Sansa.

use the file browser. directory tree is preserved. no need for proper tags.

incidentally, i just got a clip+ off ebay.  first one for me, though i do have the c250 and fuze+ (both rockboxed ofc).

sounds better than the Ruizu and the clip is a plus. the x02 seems suited for front shirt pocket.

Well i dont judge ruizu so poorly..
Its still good with the prize..i can feel the sound moving on my left ear to the right..i can still feel the sound is above me or down on my face...
their have dry sound compare with clip+..sansa clip have clear sound and have more "dark backgroudn" so clarity top notch

ok guys quis answer: I'm looking for a cheap DAP, so should I get the Ruizu x02 or the Xduoo X2?

I'd guess it depends on how much you're willing to spend. The X02 is ~20 and the X2 ~55. I've never heard the X2 but wouldn't be surprised if it sounds better than the Ruizu unit.....

After considering I'll get the Xduoo x2! As is seems it's sounds better like you said! Thanks man!

Sounds like a wise decision. Although the X02 is great for the money the Xduoo should be better considering the price and hypr it gets.

Guys, is there an open source firmware (like Rockbox) for Ruizu X02 or X10? I have them both and very happy with the battery life (and the price naturally). The sound is reasonable. The user interface is very awkward though,
Also where to download from the original firmware?
