The Qudelix-5K thread

hi nice people :)
How can I upload my own EQs for specific IEMs to share it with other people? Is it a thing?
1. You can install the Qudelix App extension to your Edge or Chrome web browser (works on Mac and PC).
2. Then connect you 5K to your Mac or PC
3 Go to DSP on the left hand side of the screen, then to Equalizer on the top of the screen, then select the profile you want
4 Use the export button, at the middle of the screen to export the Eq profile as a .txt file
5. Look for the file in your Downloads folder

The Truthear hexa running on the q5k is such a good combo. If you match the cable and tips you can get really incredible sound quality. I never had a mobile device sounding this good and refined.

They are good. Some EQ helps too.

Thanks to the AutoEQ tool on squig.link i created a preset for my truthear hexa. The result is phenomenal. The Hexa sounds so good i cannot believe it.

Qudelix 5K -> KBear Rhyme cable ---> HEXA
What’s the EQ you’re doing to your Hexa? Curious.

I used the EQ to make it sound like the DUNU SA6 Mk2.

How long will the Q5K last when turned off? Will the battery have significant drain even when turned off for a few days/weeks?
No. It shouldn’t drop anymore than maybe 1-3% a month if it’s sitting unused. I use mine exclusively wired to an iPhone and haven’t charged it in over a year.

lol you have a way with words
Why do you say that? When you use the 5K as a wired DAC/amp it runs off of the iPhones battery but doesn’t charge or drain the battery in the 5K. It’s essentially a dongle at that point.

The battery literally stays the same percentage per use, but just drains a couple percent a month the same as it would if I wasn’t using it at all.

It’s probably contributing to the battery in my iPhone wearing out quicker, but I never keep the same phone for over 2 years, so whatever.

Bro I dunno how to break it to you but if you plug it in then it's drawing power which charges the battery and no it absolutely does not just hold at the same charge. I've used it plugged in as well and it charges when you do that. The only reason it might not on your phone is if the iPhone in particular has a weak charging capacity, not because it's "not charging".

That’s just not true at all. To use the 5K with an iPhone you actually need to turn charging off and there is a setting in the 5K app to do that. I’ve been using my 5K with an iPhone 13Pro like this since January of 2022. My 5K has been losing a couple percent each month since January of 2022 being used in this way. It started out at 80% since I had it set to only charge to 80%, and now after all this time it’s at 60%.

Charging is off in the app and it has not been charged in any way since I started using it wired to my iPhone.

1000 minutes is 16.6 hours. And charging is off.

Thinking of replacing my old Fiio K5 with docked DAP with one of these as my dedicated desktop amp.

Does this thing run just on USB power when used with a PC? No other power supply? And (I think the answer is probably yes but I want to make sure), does it have the juice to get the HD 6XX to sing? The main reason I got the old K5 was because of its enormous power.

It has a battery built in. The charging can be turned off though meaning it will essentially run just on USB power.
