You've got also a new button to go automatically to https://squig.link/...

The selection in the Chrome extension is not automatically selected on the target website though...

I asked the King:

'Why aren't you, guys, creating something like the FiiO UTWS5?'

The King replied:

'It's all about the battery. Battery life, time, size, and weight...'

Does anyone know what the King means?

The response:

The battery life, not the time, would be the primary concern and challenge for Bluetooth mobile applications. The battery life would be 1~2 years, assumed with daily use.
For TWS applications, as the battery ages, the product becomes useless even if the HW still works well. Even worse, we can't replace the battery.
We need to make a product cheaper to make users accept 1~2 years of the limited lifetime.
If we figure out how to make a TWS application at a reasonable price, even assuming with a limited lifetime, we will make it.

The same can be said for the Qudelix 5k...? The 5k has roughly the same battery life if used to its fullest extent as the UTWS5, sure you can still use the USB function once the battery is dead, but im sure 99% of people bought it for the wireless capabilities.

Also for most people TWS last much more than just 1-2 years, and with newer BT tech battery life will see a major improvement.

Sure, I believe you are right. I do not know then why Qudelix has not created a UTWS5, yet. Maybe they are waiting for the newer BT tech? Dunno.
What I know is that it would be a blessing to have something like that from them.

I’d possibly buy a Qudelix “UTWS5” type of device. If they sounded really good, had plenty of power, had the same sort of EQ features and all that I’d be interested. Of course I currently only have an iOS device so it would be of course just limited to AAC.

Edit: I just stumbled across info that FiiO has updated them to now support PEQ. I don’t know how many bands or how well it works or otherwise, but apparently they have this feature now.

Millions of people would buy a Qudelix-UTWS5.

Yeah, better stay away from FiiO, trust me. Whatever I've purchased from them was out of necessity, because no one else is making something similar. As for my BTR7, it was "for a change" from my Qudelix-5K. FiiO gives you a sense of hopelessness...Wish their "engineer" was as good as their photographer! (they might be the same person, btw)

Qudelix likely won't make an UTWS5 device simply because of it's company's size and location. It is a relatively small company so production capability is small and must be fully utilized and managed in order to keep it profitable. It is often not a question of 'can we make it?' but 'can we make money out of it?'. When your company is small with a relatively niche market, every investment into a new model can run the risk of bankrupting the company, especially when venturing into new ground. Also, Qudelix being located in S. Korea also doesn't help as the manufacturing base of all things portable audio is in Guangdong, China. If Qudelix makes an UTWS5-like device, it will have to have some kind of killer feature that FiiO or others can't easily copy while keeping it competitively priced, otherwise might as well don't try.

As for FiiO - they might not been able to polish their products nearly as well as Qudelix, one thing that does go very well for them is their scale of manufacturing. FiiO is probably one of the biggest portable audio manufacturer in the world and they can afford to not have every model making good profit.

Exactly, unfortunately for us a small company like qudelix just can't justify the expense of developing and producing products that would only be marginally better compared to already existing ones in any case... With all the functions that the 5k has we've been used to absolutely great customization, but unfortunately it's not the norm and that's because it's not something easy to implement, but Fiio with its massive market should still invest a bit more to catch up in my opition...
Anyway, we can see just by how long it's taking for qudelix to finish their 7.1 surround dac/amp that they just can't really afford to make a UTWS5 alternative
