What other Penon iem sounds FAN 3 like when bone conduction is switched off? Is it a lot different from Orb or Globe?

Its kinda like the Globe with more treble which is not a bad thing. They kinda remind me of the Dome a bit more than the Globe actually.

ehhh around 100 each, possibly a little higher. there are a lot of options around that range including penon and isn stuff

ISN CS02 if you want a cable that brings good transparency and details, enhances technical traits from your IEM. Surprisingly excellent for bass performance.

ISN T-OCC if you want a great allrounder that does a bit of everything for your sound. Versatle and adds a bit of body to the sound with enhanced stage elements.

ISN S2- Thinner all blue colored sleeving, if you want an all blue colored cable. Excelllent transparency and detail elements from this cable, thin and light as well.

Penon Space if you want a neutral leaning set meaning it wont color your IEM sound performance and with modularity, if you want your IEMs to have either single or balanced ability. Will give one of the wider stages for cable enahncements you have heard at the price level. Does add some note weight to sonics as well. Leans ever so slightly warm in tonal character but mostly non colored. This cable has nylon sleeving so it might be a touch more micophonic vs the other cables listed but its not that bad actually.

I had a realization of what these reminds me of. Well first off in its bassy form they remind me of the EST50 musicality and bass. And then they have the bass adjustment ability of the Penon Turbo. Can detune or tune them with 5 level adjustment for both bass and treble using a small screwdriver of all things.

BC drivers on these are next level stuff. I do believe these will be sold exclusively on Penon site real soon.

@Dsnuts the ISN CS02 was on my shortlist, just wondering if the splitter will be too heavy for use cable down

Na. Go for it, there is nothing heavy about that cable. I bet it will surprise you the sound you get from it. The upgraded version of the CS02 is the Penon Renata at $269. CS02 is an excellent choice and gets you somewhere in the neighborhood of 85% of the Renata, which is a great value imo.

@Dsnuts Is there a particular cable you recommend for the Fan 3 aesthetically and ideally with low microphonics

Well there is a reason why the Space cable is included in the sales page and for a nice discount I might add. I havent had the need to try too many other cables if I am to be honest due to just how the Space cable synergizes with the Fan3 sound profile. Believe me the pairing is excellent.

But I will try some others and report back.

Someone posted that the ASOS+X is a better match, but at a higher expense. Might be worth trying if you have it.
