They already said they were

For any of their conditional pricing items, if the conditions are right when it is added, it takes on the special price. It keeps that even if the rest of the cart is later emptied. But they will not complete orders like this.
Must’ve been my bout of brain fog.

Penon Serial inbound, haven’t been this excited for an IEM in a long time!

Hope you'll like 'em. Not including the Legend ( i don't have them ) the Serial is the brightest of the Penon lot, more extension, sparkle, shimmer, air, - Not Sibilant, NOT struggling to hear the treble ranges, yet analogue sounding, retains the House sound all through out.
Coherent, energetic - a la Globe with added details.
The Mids* is still the star of the show.
The Bass has the best of sub and mid bass** blended together

Serial's sonic signature

* Check out the low level synth detail from the beginning of track, as well as the rest of the details scattered in the entire track...

$200 USD a good deal for a set of Globe's?

I have a set of Timeless and Obsidian hoping a good mix between the two

If it's mint condition I think that's a reasonable price for a used copy.

This $40 cable makes the EST50 sound spectacular. Way better than the ISN S8 cable it comes with. My take on the OS133 https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/penon-os133-iem-cables.25829/

Wonderful assessment as always @Dsnuts ! A $100 dollar cable sold for $40 as an introductory is indeed a steal (same goes for G4/PAC480). Similar to your observation, it is true that none of Penon’s cable sounded thin, Neo included, now OS133 despite its slender construction. I got mine a couple of days ago and had since paired it with Fan and I’m absolutely delighted with how it sound, very musical yet not compromising both transparency and details.

Since the OS133 leans towards copper, how does it compare sonically with the Fiery? Or the PAC480? (I plan to get one anyway when the Vortex lands. Just thinking about where it might fit in my collection.)

I don’t have the Fiery or PAC 480 but I’ve a feeling you’ll like the OS133 just the same.

I recently asked Penon about the Vortex and they said that production has stalled/delayed as the parts required are stuck within areas in lockdown. Could be a while until we see the Vortex in the wild...

Good question. I am going back n forth from these 3 cables and all 3 are based on copper more than silver for their sound properties with the Fiery being the only high-end pure copper cable out of the 3. Fiery and the OS133 come remarkably close in what they do. Fiery has a very slight edge in note weight over the OS133 and stage is very close. The PAC480 having the thickest sound with the tonality leaning a touch more in warmth with a thicker note weight over the other 2 and that is probably due to the sheer amount of material it has over the other 2 earphones. Out of the 3 the Fiery has a very slight edge in stage over the OS133 but tonality wise that is where the OS133 comes extremely close. I tested these cables on 2 very highly resolving earphones the Tansio Sands and NF audio NE4 I have on hand and also tested on the Reecho SG-01 OVA.

By the way folks I know this is the Penon thread but if you want something that Penon sells right now to make up for the lack of Vortex at the moment. Try out a Reecho SG-01 OVA. It is my pick for sub $50 dynamic earphones. Will completely gob smack you with their sheer sound quality. Matches extremely well with the OS133 by the way.
https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/reecho-ova-sg-01.25823/ My review on them. IMO completely worth owning for your collection. Will challenge you what you can get at the sub $50 price level.

PAC480 the warmest with greater note weight/ fuller sound out of the 3.
Fiery the most natural best timbre and has good stage and depth.
OS133 is a bit in the middle of these two with slightly better imaging over the PAC480 and gives credence to a natural tonality like the Fiery. Not as resolving as Fiery but makes up for it with having a silver plating which adds to its imaging properties. All 3 does bass and mids exceptionally well. OS133 gives a slight edge for treble emphasis and clarity over the other 2 and again it has to do with it being plated in silver. PAC480 barely has any silver in it if at all.

Considering the OS133 is the cheapest out of the 3 here and easily hangs with these 2 maybe there is some truth to is rated value at $100.
