I have been listening to Volt periodically for about 1.5 weeks and it has been burned for about 50 hours now. Right out of the box, my impressions are very positive. I expect the bass to be a little more controlled and tight with the burn-in which we will see after 150 hours. Bass is extremely powerful and punchy like other dynamic drivers Penon earphones and it can also go deep in sub frequencies. Mids are fuller, bigger, and bolder with great vocals. It reminded me a little of Oriolus Reborn in the sense, but of course, the vocals are not as forward as Reborn. Although the mids are full and bodied, the stage is quite wide and spacious. Electrostatic drivers do their jobs very well at higher frequencies. Extension and sparkles are awesome, incredibly detailed, and high definition. This is absolutely a flagship performance. Volt makes you feel that it is in a different place than the other Penon earphones in the very first minutes of listening. It dazzles with its musical structure as well as it's detailed with great resolution.

Which tips are you using on the Orb?

Those are Stock tips.
I am using stock cables & ear tips as supplied, in order to share more accurate impressions...

Re; FAN
Concerns about smartphone noise, playback power.
My 8 yo 1x+, only 0.38v is more than loud, i.e. concert hall loud.
Using Neutron, No noise, black background, just Music to you ears...

And yes, they are still out of head, even on the smartphone set-up...

Try these out on the Fan, and be amazed.
EDC, work, school, or just kicking back. Plays them all equally well...

I really don’t need another IEM, let alone another single DD IEM, but that faceplate, box, and intro price are very difficult to ignore. As is Penon’s track record.
+1. I have Mirage, Orb, GT600S, bought 3DT, but still I'll hit the buy button on fan 3 days later.

How 'bout food analogy.
One can't simply eat the same dish everyday. Gotta have variations.
Yesterday was paratha omelette, today i got English fruit cake...

Fan is great IEM, grab it fast before the disc expired, short impression: U-shaped, excellent tonal balance, clean and neutral mids, bass dive deep and it's sub-bass focused, sparkling treble with quite good control (rarely but it can sound a bit plasticky in some track, but it's the track with boosted treble).

That's in the recording, i.e. bad mastering, re-mastering.
And those are quite few and most importantly very tolerable.
This was the very 1st track i played upon receipt of the Fan (for sibilance). Turned out more than acceptable.

Next was

To try out the Mids character & tonality, i.e. is it fluid, dry, etc & is it rich, warm or neutral?
