EST50 and Impact are kinda apples and oranges. EST50 is almost the same as the Xe6 (which is high praise), but I actually like the EST50 better BUT ONLY with the Solar cable. Impact is all finesse and all aroundernress. EST50 is rock and pop perfection. My fav for most of my library (that I have heard thus far). Bass on EST50 is really strong. It's a very "fun" set.

I tried the XE6 at a Canjam but found the bass excessive (and I like a bit of bass). I preferred the KR5. I would hope I could attenuate some of that bass with some cable rolling.EST50 and Impact are kinda apples and oranges. You need a silver based cable and wide mouth tips to get that balance.

Is any Impact’s graph already available?
Also fun seeing how close it is to the Trailli JP, and the Volt has clearly another way of being tuned. I

Thanks Nordic Audiophile Mate of mine ! Your dedication to this thread is just amazing. Chapeau bas Monsieur! Compliment aside, I see this graph as a bit contradictory vs. the first impressions I have read. I like that, actually. Also fun seeing how close it is to the Trailli JP, and the Volt has clearly another way of being tuned. I
Well, graphs tell a story and (un)trained ears another one, sometimes… and sometimes they match, though. Still, in the « thin fine line » of things, we all add our homemade spices into the mix, let them be cables, tips, EQ and, most importantly, sources, don’t we? Back to your graph, I recognize the Bird’s signature for sure. The extra musical emotion and the magical sauce cannot be displayed here and it’s ok as it is.
The Volt seems to be a « sleeper » in this signature scheme. Look like to be a nice pair of musical IEMs .
So @Penon: Holidays are over, please ship the Impact to Daddy
Vocals and instruments? Impact they said… let’s hear.

EST50/Solar+potent source (why not with some EQ for the very fine-tuning?) = « En Garde! »EST50 and Impact are kinda apples and oranges. It was a sad day that I had to send my Impact back to Penon for a replacement. Looks like I'll be waiting a minute to get one back to me but it's okay cause I trust Penons customer service but more importantly I had the opportunity to listen to the Impact and I'll be count down the days until I get my replacement. For those that order it and are waiting. You are in for a real treat.
So tempting to go the CIEM route for only $80 more.It was a sad day that I had to send my Impact back to Penon for a replacement. If you can you should, especially if you don't plan to sell them down the road. The universal version is fairly compact and small for the driver configuration offered. So tempting to go the CIEM route for only $80 more.

Mines had a minor issue that no $2500 IEM should have. It should be perfection when you open a product at this price. It's not a $20 IEM.What happened to them?
