Based on my new observations at the recent Chicago stop of Headroom's World of Headphones tour, I'd say that those descriptions are mostly wrong. And I did see acidtripwow near the tail end of my visit (though I didn't bother to talk to him); I noticed a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones (yep, the DT770-250 is acidtripwow's favorite closed headphones) being taken out of the bag.

Anyway, my new one-word description of the headphones in the quote from acidtripwow goes as follows:

Ety ER-4P: Thunderous
Oh, did I mention easy-to-put-on myself, too?

Sennheiser HD 600: Silky

Sennheiser HD 590: Brash

Sony MDR-CD3000: Overrated
Uh, did I mention waaaaaay overpriced too?

Sony MDR-V900: Mediocrity
BTW, did I mention trampled upon by cheaper headphones too?
