Ultrasones. They've been getting overhyped lately; albeit, they've been given a bad rap in the past.

HD595; practically anything the Apple store demo's (which i guess is only Bose and B+O)

B+O: those $200 earbud things that i can't even get close to my ear canal. Sounds like my speakers wired out of phase.. Good design,

Overrated imho, and by a long margin.

Guys if you check this thread after one week, you will find all headphone names repeated at least twice. It will be better to create this kind of threads as polls.

That's true....Well HD650, k701, and SR60 has been stated enough. k1000 has been stated only once, so let me also say k1000! Seems to be getting more hype on this forum now.

I was going to list them as well, but I've only heard them twice... so it *might* have just been the systems that I heard them on.

Yep I heard an early model R10 in my tower - yuk. And a late model R10 in Lan's rig - yum. Go figure.

Sennheiser HD-650: They are IMHO too bass heavy...the HD-600 is much better balanced to my ears.

Sony CD3000: They are OK, but the soundstage is funky.

Sony SA5000: The only headphones I've ever tried that I had an instant and strong disliking for...

Sony Qualia 010: I liked them (yes, that's right, I liked the $3000 cans...so shoot me!!)...but not at that price point.
