#17810 reporting in.
Just picked it up from the store today. Got it on for 15 minutes now and already love it.
Listening to Alice in Chains and the guitars are so much more forward then on the DT880 i own. Now i realy got the feeling they are shredding the air

Cant wait what it does to some brutal death metal

. Though not as comfortable as the 880's, they sound awesome!

I recieved my HF2's today. And I love the headphones a first sight - like my SR325i's. BUT to be honest I was hoping for some more competition for the 325's - I am not sure the HF2 is better at the moment. Well - this is said after only 25 minutes of listening. So far the SR325 is still the king...

Now that, I didn't expect to hear since the HF-2 seems to be so highly rated and in demand. But OTOH, I'm also not surprised since the SR325is is really great sounding, with a quality that is right there among the high end cans costing a lot more.

I have come to really love the forwardness of the 325's - but let's see how the HF2 develops in a few weeks of break in.

I've always contended that the 325i can stand beside Senn HD650s, and switching from one to the other I have trouble deciding which one has more detail.

I actually feel that the 325is has more effortless detail because of its forward presentation and transparency. To hear the detail with the Senns you need more volume which leads to a warmer presentation with less background silence. I love that backdrop of silence on which the music is etched.

Having both HD650 and SR325i seems like the perfect couple for different listening experiences. They each do their jobs in great ways. I have found that pairing them with the right amps their different strenghts become even more obvious. The HD650 with the iQube and the SR325i with the P-51 Mustang are my favourite combinations.

#1572 here.

New member to this forum.

Use mine to listen to FM radio and Pandora thru a Musical
Fidelity V-DAC which is new. I've just ordered a new power supply for the DAC to replace the wall wart.

Interesting. How would you say it affects the sound?

Just want to draw attention to this very fine SR325is review:

PLAYBACK 24: Grado SR325is Headphones | AVguide

I have to say that even with the price of SR325 being higher than HD650 in Europe - I still think it is a great bargain for the money.
