Ooh nice.. I very much like the synergy between the 325i's and LDI+. If you use the stock tubes, i'd recommend a rather transparent source. If you're getting some Sylvania Gold 408A's for them, a more "analogue" sounding cdp or a dac might be worth looking into..

I just love the synergy between LDI+ with LT1364/Sylvania Goldbrand 408A's fed from JVC XL-Z411, and the sr325i's.. Ooh.. The cdp lacks a little detail but sounds very much like you were listening to vinyl. Not very flat either but it's just sweet to my ears.

I bought a set of matched WE408A tubes from eBay at the same time as I purchased the EF92 tube version LDI+. The tubes came last week, but I'm still waiting for the amp.

The tracking site says it was in the city next to mine this morning, so hopefully it will be delivered tomorrow afternoon.

Then I'll just need my KECES DA-151 Mk2 to get here!!

Hi, I just bought mine 2 weeks ago and they are #9416. Still breaking them in with a session of about a hour per day. Can't wait till they really warm up and start singing.

I love the forward high mids of my SR325i. So in order to try to bring it even more forward I just bought the RS P-51 Mustang. Now I am really looking forward to see if this match is great....or if it is too much.

So what's a good <$150 DAC to match my 325i's and the Little Dot 1+ I just ordered? I'm using my Macbook with AIFF and Apple Lossless.

I have used a griffin i-mic with my little dot and 325i and it did just fine.

If you could spare a bit more, the Musical Fidelity V-DAC looks very nice for the money. And of course the Cambridge DAC Magic but thats 399.

Ohh... I didn't even think of the Griffin, I even get a discount with them. I never thought of it as a DAC for some odd reason.

Looking at the reviews that should work well enough until I can save for the Duet.

Also, this is my first time using a DAC like this, what kind of difference am I looking at? Right now I am just using the headphone jack of the Macbook. All this reading on Head-Fi pretty much says I need a DAC, so I'm getting one.

Hello Gang.

It's been nearly a year since the last update of this thread and the owners list.
Time goes by so fast.

I am currently working on the Spring 2009 list update.
----

Since today is the 2 year and 1 month Anniversary of this thread,
I thought it might be fun for 325i owners to post a reply describing the 325i the best they can in ONE WORD.. and I will post the responses on the first thread post.

Example: 325i = Enlightenment !

Thanks.
