Anyone tried the Shielded Silver Core cable with other IEMs? I want to see how it pairs with Aroma Jewel.
26 Awg, Silver Plated OCC Copper. Is the stock cable for the latest revision of the U12t made with silver-plated copper?
The 64's universal IEM is using 0.78mm, the 0.75mm is for their CIEM.Could someone please advise me - will 0.78mm two pin connectors work on my u18t?
I see some spare cables listed as 0.75mm on the 64 audio website.
I should have a Mest3 around shortly, will let you know, and I think maybe @o0genesis0o could offer some impressions.. ?Hi, can anyone compare the u12t vs Mest 3?
Oi, it’s you, the Monarch II guyHi, can anyone compare the u12t vs Mest 3?
Thanx a lot!Oi, it’s you, the Monarch II guy
I compared Mest III and U12t in my mest review here: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/unique-melody-mest-mkiii-cf.26526/review/31307/
The most noticeable difference is the tuning. U12t is flatter, so easier to use when mixing audios for my videos. It does not shy from highlighting the mid treble. The MEST III is noticeably more coloured with warmer midrange and less emphasised mid treble.
I still find the bass (and the whole presentation) of U12t more dynamic. A bit hard to pin point the root cause, but U12t feels like plucking a tightened string, but MEST III is a bit loose. Not a deal killer for most, but annoying enough for me to notice.
The stage is a little bit more interesting on MEST III. I like how the reverb is rendered by MEST III.
IMHO: a lot of money for a different flavour. If I have a lot of spare dough, I’ll get Mest III to complement the U12t.
That’s … why we buy U12t.distant and airy
Thats more or less True, I have all the Fir audio atom modules as well as the MX, m15, and m20 for my A12T, the fir gold(+) is just ever so slightly more open than the m20, but still more isolating than the m15 module.
The bass is slightly less attenuate as well, but there is still more bass compared to the m15 module.
Basically the FIR modules allow you to fine tune in between the 64 Apex modules.
The only exception would be the FIR red(0) vs the MX, where the MX kills the bass response completely.
The FIR audio Red is just as open and spacious as the MX module but still retains some bass.
But the internal wires...they are noted to be different...right? How do you they affect the audio? Thank you!great question. the sound signature is the same as Nio
