Yeah I preferred the A18s too, but I can’t deny the “value” the price of a used U12t brings. It’s A LOT of IEM at that $1200-$1300 price point.
100% agree with this. In fact, at that price, I’m not sure you can do better, at least based on the IEMs I’ve owned. Of course, “better” is completely subjective...

Not sure if anyone else saw this from 64 Audio. I saw it on Facebook and Instagram:

Save now, pay later… we’ve got your back. Now you no longer have to wait, with payments as low as $47 a month you can start experiencing a deeper connection with your music and immersing yourself in the 64 Audio sound. Use promo code “VIP15” for custom models A4t-A12t, and “VIP20” for Universal models (excluding Nio). Select Affirm under 'payment options’, and we’ll see you soon! #64fam #64audio #IEMs

Crazy thing is that the Trio often get down there second hand as well. I mean between the u12t and Trio going for 1200-1400 you can't go wrong.

No thanks. No debt here and no desire for it.

I know I mentioned in my Nio review that I won't go crazy with kilobuck cable rolling, but someone asked me today how does Nio pairs up with PlusSound PPH8, since it was my favorite pair up with Fourte. Based on what I'm hearing while comparing PPH8 vs 64audio Premium Silver and Eletech Socrates, with PPH8 the soundstage spreads even wider, a very common change I noticed while pairing different IEMs with this cable. And also, Nio's mids/vocals are more forward and more transparent. Tested it with LPGT.

I'm not saying you have to spend on a cable as much, or more, than IEM itself, so please, put down your pitchfork  I'm just sharing what I'm hearing and if you have PPH8 in your collection, give it a shot with Nio.

Interesting. Now when I go to the 64audio site it no longer says that I have to use an international dealer. Wonder if that is actually the case or not. Main reason being the a2e has dropped a bit and is currently cheapest way of trying apex out.

I have the Nio and looking at a cable upgrade, what do you recommend? The Eletech's new Socrates does look nice and would be within my budget range, would that be what you would recommend or would it be the PPH8?
