Will you be selling your other IEMs to keep only this one, or do you think you'll keep them all regardless of how good the Nio is?

I'll jump in here too and say I've always been a one-headphone guy, so whenever I had two I always felt one was too expensive to be used once or twice a month and sold it on. Then I discovered IEMs. Now I'm a one-headphone, one-IEM guy. Partly because of budget, sure, so I can only afford to keep one TOTL headphone/IEM at a time, but mostly because I'm not really a fan of choice, and much prefer a closed system I can keep going back to for almost-perfect results every time.

With more than one headphone/IEM I'm always thinking: "I wonder what this song will sound like with that...". Drives me nuts.

For what it’s worth, I started with the L and ended up with the M (after trying the ML in between)! Took a little trial-and-error.

I started with MS and dropped to S. I generally don't like to put anything inside my ear canal (prefer shallow fit), but with Sedna being slightly harder than Spiral Dots or Final E tips, they're more comfortable just inside the canal. I must have tiny canals judging by the sizes being thrown about here!

Atlas/Fiio M9 combo and didn't think it could get any better (little did I know lmao).

Here's the rub though. If headfi hadn't existed would you have been happy with that combo for awhile ? (evil).

The trio for me is also kind of redundant when I have the nio.

But... the issue I still face is that I struggle to see myself using the z1r since I got the nio.

Don't get me wrong. They are both excellent and I feel I have been very clear that the nio isn't necessarily better... Just better for me.

Honestly, if the fit of the z1r had been better for me I likely never would have ended up even buying the trio or the nio.

So Custom Art can do custom tips for 64Audio? I thought I'd heard they wouldn't because of the smooth sound pipe. Now I'm curious about tips for my Trio.

Not so much from this Trio owner. However, I am interested to hear from other Trio owners who have taken a bite of the Nio apple. Case in point: mashuto calls the Trio redundant while he has a pair of Nio, but would choose the Nio and sell the Trio (at least today). So Nio must do something better to his ears. It would be interesting to hear what that is. Like gLer, I'm a "limited collection" person: I have two IEMs I use regularly (and two I should sell since I don't use them) and one pair of full-size head phones. I am quite satisfied with my Trio so I don't expect to jump on the Nio train. I'll use that money for something else. But I like hearing others' experiences.

I'm just about always a size L and I'm an L with the Xelastec as well. For reference, Final Type E I need XL and those are almost too small!

Same thing here! I usually wear L, but ML provides the better fit with Azla sedna eartips.
