I could be wrong, but why would 64 Audio introduce something totally different, when early this year at CanJam NYC they were showcasing A18s and "K9" (and that is only a placeholder name) models as their upcoming new releases? And as many noticed and posted about it here, there was resemblance in tuning of universal "K9" to their custom N8, plus "9" is actually the number of N8 drivers, DD + 8 BAs (N8 was only because it sounds like Nate who was involved in tuning). Plus, "K9" had apex module and DD port (so, it is hybrid), just like N8.
agreed! I would personally be excited to give this a try, especially if it's <$2k

That makes perfect sense, but didn’t they already have a universal N8 that they used for auditions? If so, I would not think much development would be needed for the K9 if it were a N8.

I have had my u18t for some time and just lately I seem to sense the treble being a little diminished. With the naked eye the screens look ok but when I looked at the screens with a jeweler's loupe it looks like there is a little debri on them.

To see if it made a difference in treble output I was going to get the Jody Vac, but then somebody earlier on this thread mentioned the Headphone Vac and Vac Jr made by Fir Audio. All you get with the Jody vac is a needle, but with the Fir there is a larger bore plastic piece that looks like it would work better on the screen. Any thoughts which one may work better?

Also, do you think something like the Serene Renew dryer would be a good idea to store them in?

TIA to anyone, or @64Audio or @bogdan belonozhko

PS: if the Fir Headphone Vac is recommended over the Jody Vac, the regular Vac has 10 lpm, while the Jr has 6 lpm. I would guess the Jr should be sufficient?

It's a uni demo for audio shows and dealers to audition custom only models, like A18s or N8.

Sedna users: you have me curious. When you insert your IEMs, do you push them into your ear canals (like ear plugs), or do you set them in your outer ear and let your tips provide the a seal there? I ask because I prefer the former, and have had trouble getting a good seal with single flange tips. While I really like the SpinFit CP-240 dual flange, I like the wide bore of the Sednas and am tempted to try them, provided there's at least a chance they'll fit. I'm glad they post the tip dimensions.

While different tips help to certain extent, it’s also largely dependent on the shell matching to individual ears. For example, I cannot get good seal on 1 side on any 64a universals and can only use L size to force fit it but still not ideal. However I get excellent fit with VE8/Elysium easily and even on M size tips. I’ve had many tips except the Sedna which are incoming. So far, the JVC Spiral Dots/++ are the best fit for me.

For anyone that has ordered custom 64 Audio monitors in clear or smoke, have you noticed any discoloring/yellowing from use? If so please post pictures.

saw the latest upcoming mystery model, i have been wanting to buy a top end of 64, but the outer shell (case) out look appearance has been my obstacle- every model seems the same except color provided that i will not go for a custom model.
hope it has developed the other shape
just my 2 cents

I saw that happening on a lot o "google search" pictures. Not 64a though, but UE and JH. But looks like is a common fact.

Seems like all kind of clear shells have a tendency to yellow over them, no matter what make. But by the time they yellow perhaps its also time for a refit/reshell.
