U12 is discontinued, I looked at the site, looks like u10 may be as well... Any thoughts on u10 vs U12 (expect to see some on sale used... MASSDROP has had some off and on as well).

Yep, they removed both of them.. found out yesterday.

Thanks, @Wyville, I remember reading that post as well. Hmmm. Wanting a TOTL iem, not wanting to spend $3k+. Thinking about u10 or u12, Andromeda (used), maybe something from EE if a good used deal is around somewhere...

PM @hattrick15 , he has a like-new Fourte for sale if you want to skip the wait and retail price. Included additional cable as well.

I really thought about Empire Ears but every review I read stated the bass was light but everything else shines through like a champ.

A lot seems to have been removed from the website since I last looked. Didn't see any other than the four new ones in the U-series and the A10 has also been removed (A12t replacing the A12). I did not expect that, but interesting to see what will happen next. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a U10t, but perhaps the Trio is meant to take that position in the line (be it higher priced than the U12t).

How much more did the price jump for U12 to U12t? If the prices spiked by a lot it would’ve been nice to keep the older models with the same price.

If I remember correctly it was from $1,599 or $1,699 to $1,999. The U10 were priced below that, so I am curious what will happen at the $1,500 price point.

Prices are the same between 12 and 12t - they just tweaked the product.

I thought I read somewhere the increased the price but could be my imagination.

There was certainly a price increase. That is pretty much inevitable with new releases, especially when it includes a switch to a new technology (Tia). (It was not just a "tweak".)

Ah, okay, for some reason I always thought the a12 was $1999.

How long is the build time for your Trio or are you still trying them out?

No idea on build time, and I'm trying out the u18 to see if 1.) I can live with universals, 2.) if I like these and would go custom. I really like them, but not quite in love yet.

That is correct, universal U12 was cheaper (I think you are right, $1.6k) while Custom A12 was $2k. Now, both U12t and A12t are $2k. So the price remained the same for CIEM version, while universal U12t went up in price to match A12t due to a) all metal shell, b) new premium cable, c) including both M15 and M20 Apex modules.
