The NEW ATH-ES700..

I just received the lambskin pads fpr ESW9 but 1 of them is slightly smaller and thinner than the other. Is it normal? I bought them directly from Audio-Technica.

I have 2 pairs, and they do vary a bit! I think since they are hand made, there can be slight differences from pad to pad. Can you post a pic?

I recommend that you purchase the pads directly from Audio-Technica's parts department instead. Just email parts@atus.com and ask about purchasing a replacement set of ESW9 pads (don't mention
they're for the ES700).They charge $36.26 + $4 shipping for them in the US.

Thanks for the reply though i dont live in US. I have contacted with them and they said it wasnt possible for them to send it to my address in Turkey. I think i will stick with the stock pads for now lol

Any thoughts on ATH-ES500? Didn't saw any related post or rewiew but it seem cheaper and looks not bad but im wondering how is sound quality.

Es500 are great! Good build quality and comfort, and very sleek looking. Soundwise, they are very mid-forward with tight, punchy bass. Treble is smooth but decently detailed. I find that they work best with pop and vocal music.

Where's all the love for these gone? We're down to about 1 post a week now...

I've got the ES700's with a Forza AudioWorks re-cable & ESW9 lambskin pads and friggin' love 'em!

The only other pair I have in my sights right now are some V-moda M100's, but then all I listen too is EDM etc.

So who still has/uses them regularily and who side-graded/upgraded and if so what to? Results?
