Lowepro (never heard of 'em) makes a 9cm x 13cm lens case which fits the S500 very well. It's made of "600d Polyester, 1680d Nylon, 420d Nylon" (whatever that means) with an inner protective liner of "210d Nylon". It doesn't have any real pockets for carrying a DAP or similar.

The model number is LP36303-0AM. It was in stock at a local BestBuy (at its list price, $21, of course.) Amazon has it for $14 but I couldn't wait.

Edit: The grey liner in the center image is some foam padding. It's about 1.5mm thick.

Going to be ordering these off Ebay. Will be using them while going to school and work. Also interested in the ATH pleathers for these but have no idea exactly which ones those are?

FYI, Lowepro makes excellent camera/equipment cases, familiar with them due to one of my other hobbying addictions

So last night I missed out on a not-insignificant amount of sleep because I couldn't stop listening to what a whole lot of songs sound like on these. Mm, Tool.

But tonight I've stuck them in their burn-in box - not before an episode of Breaking Bad, mind - tonight I need to catch up on some shut-eye.

Ah, expensive hobbies. I seem to have a thing for those.

Next up, a decent DAC. Such slippery slopes I slide on.

The upgrade the one guy did with the Blue pads and blue cable is MIGHTY enticing simply for the coolness factor alone. I was born in 1977 so I'm totally into 80s aesthetics when it comes to color scheme and lets face it these things come from Japan so why not play it up a bit with some color? I wish there was a kit floating about that you could just buy and perform the upgrades, somebody listening???

Peace
Illumination

Why stop there? I mean, blue pads are cool, but there are so many other colors to try? :p

Ahhh so my suspicions were correct. Thanks for the link fuzzyash. It's going to be a long wait for my pair to come in... sigh...

it takes something like 1-2 weeks to deliver from japan i think
im still waiting for mine!

Mine took 14 days.

It's either wait or pay a large sum for expedited, international shipping. I chose to wait.
