Are there any recommendations of how to burn these cans in?

Play fast, banging tunes through them at about 80% volume. Trance, drum and bass, hardcore... etc

I've read that it's bad to plug headphones around 30 ohms into the hifimediy... Puts more wear and tear on the device because it switches currents to adjust with lower omhage.

It will do just fine.

Hi,
I have a couple of questions I want to ask you guys before buying these headphones-
-First, are they good for Rock and metal?
-Can anyone post/link a comparison between these and the ATH M50?
Also, I have a Fiio E6 amp, will these headphones benefit from it?
Thanks a lot

After an hour an a half of screwing around with elastic bands and yarn I said f it and used glue gun to attach them on top of the old pads. They look so stupid now but comfy :p

Glue? Lmao

That's the worst thing you could have done.

Did you not get any O rings to keep the pads in place?

Those are both dark and warm, with a focus on bass.

So they would fall in the "Warm + Sweet" category?  Interesting, the Monoprice may sound dark, but the S500 doesn't sound dark to me.  I guess I need to listen to some brighter ones to compare.
