Better late than never, my fx 850 just arrived from Japan after waiting for them almost a month.
Must admit that after 30 min of listening I am more and more impressed. I love how the violin sounds.
Must find a way to tame that bass though.
Thank you all for open my eyes

Consider the Studio 6. I think it pairs very well with the FX850 and definitely helps in taming its bass. LO B mode.

Wait for the surprise then.  Mine has been in use for over 300 hours now and it is a completely different animal than brand new.

I wish I could remember how they sound when they were new. I have at least 500hrs with them now and they're my only iem so I have nothing to compare to. I'm not even sure if what I hear is "bassy" anymore

Any special reason you want the 850`s cable?  IMO it isn`t that great.  The FX1100`s cable is much much nicer.  Also, the 850 has standard mmcx connectors, so several trillion aftermarket cables will fit.....

Mainly so I have the stock cable to compare to. Mine shorted out because of the way I stored it. Which cable do you recommend?

If you want to keep a "commercial" cable which looks nice, the Onkyo HCMX-HF120 will do the job nicely, it's the one I use with the HA-FX850.
It doesn't change the original signature that much, and the rubber cable coating prevent tangle and microphonics completely.

Otherwise you have +500 MMCX aftermarket cables on eBay but anything beyond 50$ is a waste of money. Although with some of them, you could experience a slight decrease in bass if you're interested in this.

Hi mate need a help can ony one compare jvc fx850 with ety er4p thanks

I had ER4p and I own FX850 as well. ER4P sounds very clear and have very good isolation.
FX850 sounds very fun like Denon D7000, think it as a V sound. Bass is awesome. isolation is not too good.
ER4P looks like $5 iem, while FX850 looks like $2-300..very classy looking and well made.
ER4P sounds like high end Bookshelf speakers while FX850 sounds like Floorstanding speakers with subwoofer.
hope this helps.
