I'm good, they have QC concerns, I'll pass

Can you elaborate?  Is that based on the reviews in Chinese?  I hope that's not true; I don't plan to buy any other IEMs for awhile.

I know Hisoundfi had an issue with his. It may have been aisolated incident.but I personally am going to pass. Things like driver flex spook me.

I have the Noble K10U, SE846, had Dita's & have heard Ref1 & Roxxane. FX850 treble may not have the extension or resolution of these iem's but its not bad & for the money these cannot be beat IMO. Best sound per dollar that I have heard in an iem till date. Love mine.

I tried likes of SE846, Layla, Angie, Roxanne, UM Mason, UM Maverick, UM Mavis, Truth but my EQed FX850 bettered many and was comparable to the best, with the Angie being my favourite. The FX850 kind of forced me to stop purchasing new IEMs since I cannot justify purchasing the 1K plus IEMs when the FX850 I bought for 180~ dollars are so so good. Only if the FX850 sounded like my EQed one out of the box, they would deserve a legendary status that the HD650 has enjoys IMO...

Tried a few mid rangers too but thought the CKR10 was pretty impressive too.

Could you please compare the fx850 to the ckr10? I'm really interested in picking up the cks1100!

Unfortunately not since I do not have access to the CKR10s anymore.

Just from memory please? I really need to decide if I should rebuy the fx850 or get the cks1100, and there are only a few people who have tried both :D

Why not both mate?

Nah I'm just kidding.
IIRC, The fx850 have much better quality and more quantity of bass than the CKR10. But It might to be too warm at times, this would depend on the source.
As for the CKR10, the bass is impactful. But does not sound as fat as FX850.
But the mids of both is very well presented. Just that imo that CKR have more forward vocal.

If you are looking for isolation probably go for the CKR10. As FX850 is an open IEM.

Thanks Whaleshark12, it seems like I might pass on the cks1100 then...

I really loved the bass on the fx850 as well as the timbre, not sure if its coz of the housing, but it was warm and pleasant. Should I just get my third pair then? :D

Haha yeah I know, but its the closest I could get, no one was able to provide a direct one, so I figured the ckr10 would be a close approximation

I'm talking about the CKR10. Have not tried the CK1100. Heard it is like FX850, open IEM. Not sure about the SQ.

There's impression and comparisons of the IEMs being mentioned by TRANCE long ago if you can dig it up. I thought my impressions were similar. If unEQed, I think the CKR10 is probably better. But when EQed, FX850 can produce a beautiful organic and euphoric sound kind of like the HD650 with a huge soundstage as an IEM even in comparison to many CIEMs.

Guys, I noticed that HA-FX850 paired with my android phone (Xperia Z5) sound noticeably worse than from my computer+ Fiio E17 (High gain, volume set to 15 from 60) so i think i might do something to fix that. However, i don't know the requirement of FX850 at all (like how strong an amp need to be to get all juice out?).
Will i be served better with good DAP (like iBasso DX50, Fiio X3II ) -> because it have access to file by itself without having to get signal from phone,
or a dedicate Phone DAC/AMP like Fiio E18 -> because it have better amp?

Sounds really good from a DX90 ( I have) and probably the DX80. It does not require a lot of juice but sounds better from a brighter source.

how bout comparison between fx850 and fx1100? is it worth to spend more $130 to get fx1100?
some people said that both have no big different in sound quality
is that true?
