  two questions:
 
1) is there a program for Mac to separate songs into single files from cue list? i tried XLD but somehow this does not work well with cue flac separation.
2) does updating from FW1.2.2 to 1.2.5 makes sense? somehow my DX50 (8th batch) came with 1.2.2 FW.

Eventually you are the only one who can figure out what's best for yourself. The SQ for instance changes a bit from one FW to another. Not to mention some bug fixes.

  aahhhh....if the filename has "Firmware" spelled, then that's the leaked 1.2.5....but if it says "FW" - then this should be the official one.

how is the Amp part of the DX50? can you compare it with a sud200$ amp?
 
SQ wise, is it going to be a good jump from a iPodVideo rockboxed DAC sound?

Download the 1.2.2 FW as well. Rolling back is the same procedure as the update. I think it's easy enough, the zip file includes the update instruction. If you like the SQ of 1.2.2. I believe you will like 1.2.5 even more. Or the worst that could happen is you find it similar.
 
Also some minor bug fixes, I think the gapless playback has been fixed. It does not seem to be cutting off the first and last second of each track during transition.

which of which is the final? Sorensiim's mirror contain a link that says "FW" and when i downloaded it, it's filename contains "FW"...

what puzzles me is when i go to iBasso site and click on download i see the latest FW 1.2.2 and no 1.2.5FW, why that? 
is 1.2.5 really final or Beta? weird...

one more question. WHY when DX50 mounts on OSX i open DX50 folder and see NOTHING? no Music folder, nothing of a sort, just blank space.
 
also when putting Music on DX does this mean i copy paste music directly into blank DX50 folder or i create Music folder myself?

you know i do, and will let you know when i try DX50, likely tomorrow or Monday will do some more audition, today no time for critical listening.

The DX50 root directory contains at least another directory called. Album_img and possibly music files, the external SD contains the music files.

In the directory. Album_img available data for the DB of dx50. Why do not you see album_img., Your files or folders you created are not visible, I can not tell you. I do not know the MAC OS, not the GUI or the MAC and its display option.
