  How did you cut the metal plugs?

 
i didn't cut anything, what i did was just remove 1 part.


the right most part (the one with metal and rubber) - all i did was remove that cylindrical part, then connect the rubber part directly to the right angle part - you now have a modified right angle neutrik plug!

but doesn't the right part screw on to make it tight?

I'm curious about the Leckerton UHA-760 as well, but I don't think I'll be holding out for the coax version. For that to be an improvement, the UHA needs to have a better DAC and implementation than that of the DX50.
