  SQ wise I strongly approve of the increased bass! Makes my music a bit more fun to listen to but unfortunately none of the important bugs for me were fixed..
My files with aprostrophes still do not work still and there is no Korean character support. :\

EDITED FOR CLARIFICATION: I was discussing the DX50 vs the Fiio X3 with an "industry insider". According to him, the DX50 is a better value for money than the X3, judging only by the cost of the parts/implementation.
 
Comparing the X3 and the DX50 in terms of value for money, let's look at the cost of the components where the DX50 is better different than the X3:
 
Fiio X3 is $199
Better* AMP section, with dual single high precision opamps: $199+$20 = 219USD
Better housing, $219+$10 = $229
IPS screen,$229+$10 = $239
Touch screen, $239+$15 = $254
OCA bonding $254+$5 = $259
OTG function, $259+$10 = $269
Gain swtich $269+$5 = $274
User replaceable battery $274+$10 = $284
Graphic user interface: $284+$5 = $289
 
Throwing in some $ for the very nice packaging, mini-to-coax cable etc., $299 would have been a fair price for the DX50.

*This is a matter of taste. Based solely on my previous experiences with Ibasso and Fiio gear, I expect the Ibasso to have a cleaner, more detailed sound and the Fiio to have a warmer signature.

You mean $400 to $500 more for the AK UI lol. I heard the X3 had some issues as well at release but the updates they gave didn't makes things worse.... At least they're trying, gotta give them credit for that.

X3 didn't have any problems for me when I got it with its first firmware. Just most people are butt ass fussy. No big problems that affects the features or sound at all.

Though AK100 USB dap is something I'd prefer more over USB otg ...

Just put the 901 sound in an AK120 and add an IPC wheel and your price is mine.
