anyone experience when u listening to music for perhaps 15mins.. then u press volume keys the music stop and u need to go back to select the music again.... And also under album not all the albums are show...

Didn't have the music stopping thing you mentioned.

Re album not showing, I had that with my ak100 and most are due to tag issues (extra non standard tags, special characters in tags, duplicated tag strings in different album, mixed character encoding in tags, etc). These had since been cleaned up and I haven't had issues using the same sd cards with the ak120 and now dx50.

Some timing comparison with AK120:

DB scanning
64gb sandisk class 10 micro sd, 59.46gb of .mp3 .flac .wav files with ID3 tags

AK120 (fw 1.32): 8:09
DX50 (fw 1.00): 11:17

Boot time
AK120 (fw 1.32): 16.3s
DX50 (fw 1.00): 8.5s

Try cleaning the tags and remove any unnecessary fields. Tagging gave me issues with my AKs and it was smooth as silk once they had been cleansed. Using the same sd card on dx50 for the past 4 hrs or so and never hanged.

One thing I don't like is that I need to re scan the db if I remove the sd card and re-inserting the very same card. Whilst AK you don't need to re scan and it won't delete the db entries even if you eject the card.

Exciting! Do the buttons feel sturdy and click nice? Can you use them to navigate the menus?

This is really appreciated! 10 sec scanning is really great. Swapping Micro SD card is difficult? Is it just a slide mecanism or is there some kind of eject spring?

EDIT: oh my... those are minutes! not seconds..

I think the scanning times are in minutes, not seconds. Unless the ak120 is WAY faster than the ak100

Don't like the faux velvet pouch.... the only part of the whole package that doesn't scream class and quality.
