I have purchased many items from amp3 over the years and been very happy with them. I have never seen such a bad advert as this, not just the photo but the text has fonts listed as well. Please don't take this as an indication of their worth as suppliers.

Just got word from Ibasso that they have successfully reproduced the "clicking" sounds during 24/192 playback, but only when the files are stored on the microSD card. If the same 24/192 flac files are stored on internal memory, they play without a hitch.

Naturally, Ibasso are now working on a fix for this issue.

Its awesome they've been able to reproduce the issue. Now they'll be able to properly investigate.

I wonder if it has to do with the speed of the card used?  I put some 192k files on my sd card just to do some testing to see if I could hear a difference between 192 and 96, played it both through the line out and coax out, and never heard any clicks.  The tracks I used were from hdtracks.

possible. i don't hear clicks listening to 24 bit depth i am playing adele 21 fine no problems at all.
i do hear a click every time i boot or shutoff the device which i think is normal.
i am using a 64GB transcend microSDXC Class 10 UHS-I 300x.

i can hardly tell the difference.
16 bit vs 24 bit difference isn't as big as lossy or lossless.

I hear a bit of a difference if I'm listening for it.  I couldn't hear anything different between 192 and 96, so the highest I used is 96/24, due to my DAC over usb only supports 96 max.  I have no problems with it though.  I think at that point the quality of the recording and mastering makes a large difference.

i can't really hear any difference not significant enough to give 24 bit all that space.
most of my music library is stock flac (16 usually a couple 24 bit) which i convert to ALAC in order to support my itunes. (work on a mac)
 
64gb is still to small actually i already filled it.

better late than never... on December the 2nd 2013 I sent them the following mail after several test with my player:
 
"i tested my files the last days again. i had completed the firmware update correct. i still get the clicks,but very randomly. this only happens with 192khz flac files...when i downsample the 192khz flac files to 96khz i don't get the issue either. i use a sandisc 64gb sdxc card. i assume its an issue processing the flac files"
 
after that they insisted that they still cant hear any clicks but that my player is fine (I asked for a replacement), that's why i sold my player

Word size (number of bits per word) has no effect on sound quality. None whatsoever. Word size is the dynamic range, that is the decibel range between minimum and maximum volume of a recording. 16 bits spans 96 dB of volume. This can be any 96 dB range, not necessarily 0 dB to 96 dB. 24 bits spans a 144 dB range, again any 144 dB range.
