Idle hands + leftover solidcore silver cable = New, silver IC for me :D

I'm pretty sure my soldering station has paid for itself a couple of times over

Drooling

Does any body found the sound quality on 1.2.6 and 1.2.7 has messed up a little bit?
Especially on the highs, very rush...it's like very very high pitch...
I don't feel that on 1.2.5 or previous firmwares...

What happened to the ibasso website? EasyCGI is now at ibasso.com, and ibasso.info doesn't have the latest firmware. What's going on?

Temporary issues, a site has been set up in the meantime: http://ibasso.info

On 1.2.6 vs 1.2.7, I just finished up a mini-shootout using a slightly different set-up (Lyr armed with Siemens tubes paired with HD800, no EQ at all). Bottom line: 1.2.6 wins and wins big. Orchestral music sounded tinny and annoying on 1.2.7, unlistenable. Much more thump (slam?) and lower end is much more defined on 1.2.6. I accused it of having less soul than 1.2.2, but it fits in nicely with Lyr/HD800. Still bright and detailed (and somewhat harsh...I probably need to swap tubes from the Siemens to the Amperexes, but that would've screwed up the comparison plus I'm lazy), but far more natural than 1.2.7. Might or might not get to the other two firmwares.

Whatever Ibasso did to 1.2.7 sound, I hope they undo it. Sounded muddy on the other rig, harsh on this one.

DX50 on top of Xin Supermacro 3 [OPA627] and Zero Audio Carbo Bassos and Tenores IEMs.

ICs are Siltech solid silver [covered by copper shielding]
The blue one is made from 3 strands of Kimber OFC [from 8TC cables]

I have a similar setup except for the RSA 71-B and the JH13. Those earphones are what I wish I could buy although I am split between this one and the 1ps2, I know not quite the same kind but I thought a universal might be more what I'd be looking for.

Nice rig!

I know you have an explanation for why you don't align the player the other way around so your IC would be short. It's just to me it looks weird with the wire going around the player. :D
