well I don't understand why manufactureers don't simply name brand and model of attenuater used in HPamp... like for now, CFA3 lists 47 step or US5 also don't show such info under specs...

Yeah, it'd also be nice to see detailed measurements for all these products. 47 steps... could be Goldpoint, Elma, possibly others. I still see that as a dated form of volume control though, compared to relay switched R2R with 128-200+ 0.5 dB steps. But 47 will be a lot better than 24.

Coming from v550 and nimbus threads, I don't understand how amps in this price range have issues with volume pots, scratch noises, pops while turning off...
Really, disconnecting hp's while amp is on before turning it off, should be more dangerous than switching on/off while plugged.
Protection circuits should be a must implementation in these amps...
Also, imho, leaving something 24/7... Electricity bills, fire danger, should be something to be more aware off rather than power cycling.

Never had an issue with my V550 Pro (other than the normal noise when adjusting volume from the Reed relays)

Seemed to only be a couple of people with issues on the V550 thread and Violectric stood behind their product

In case anyone is still looking for a synergetic dac for the gsx2, I paired PBD dac with gsx2 and I have to say I heard the best sound I have ever heard out of gsx2. Immensely musical and analog with all the technical attributes intact typical of gsx2. I am impressed - a rare feeling for me.

Hey everyone, it’s been a while since my last post. I’ve owned my GSX mk2 for approximately 11 years (serial number 14), and it has been my faithful companion for daily use without any issues—until now. Unfortunately, the medium gain setting is no longer balanced; the right channel is weaker than the left. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and is there a known fix?
