I am happy to say that I will be joining the GS-X Mk2 group...placed the order just now for a champagne color. Looking forward to get this amp connected to my system.

Glad I didn't wait any longer to order this amp. Hope to get the amp soon. Thanks for your order! You got our last Champagne GS-X in stock. It'll be 4 weeks or so until we have Champagne in stock again.
I believe some wanted to compare the copper color sides of the Spring DAC to the champagne color of the GS-X for those going to have both visible.
Beautiful set up!I changed up my TV stand, which makes the sides of the Spring visible in these pics. I didn't think about it before but the champagne color of the GS-X does well against the wood finish, as does the Spring. Feel free to ignore the swatches of green post-its over the power LED's lol.

The common theme on this thread is that the full capabilities of the GSX are wasted if one does not use a DAC capable of balanced output.
How many DAC's are out there which can output balanced?
Are Chord DAC's (Qutest, Hugo2 etc.) ruled out for use with the GSX due to their lack of balanced output?
What is the most popular DAC for use with the GSX - Holo Spring? Just curious as to which top 2 or 3 balanced DAC's most are using with this amp?
I use a Hugo tt which has balanced output and it sounds great.
Long term ch1, tested ch2, and tt owner. First off TT in itself held its ground against all chord products, sans Dave, imo. Matter of fact the TT may not have quite the depth of more taps and pulse arrays, but tt has superior analogue components like its balanced out xlr , which Hugo and qutest does not. The darker sound of tt delivers better base slam, more distinct mid definition, imo. So actually TT and Dave are the only consideration to use gsx mk2 full topography end to end.Yes - the TT seems to be the only Chord (and Dave?) which outputs balanced.
I am reluctant to invest in a TT considering that the Hugo and Qute were both significantly updated.
One wonders if the TT will be updated - and if it will continue to output balanced when considering that the new Hugo2 and Qutest do not
I would love to use a Chord DAC with a future purchase GSX however I am reluctant to purchase a TT when knowing that the other members of the lineup have been significantly updated

interesting, i know you just amped but when you do let us know, optilogic mk2 is 7 G, could be worseAs a long term user of Aqua Hifi R2R DAC, I step in for them. The La Scala is fully balanced, a sweet DAC. It's considerably more expensive than the Holo Spring, but it is truly first class. Will soon upgrade from my La Voce S2 to the La Scala optologic. Very much looking forward to it!

Now concerning tt2 launch which I’m interested in as well, not for a while. Maybe aug 2019 or beyond....i can’t speak for the market rational but they are happy to sit on TT it seems while ch2 Dave and all ancillary add ons get developed....
Holo Spring DAC.Still looking to hear from others on balanced DAC alternatives.
