So I have been demoing the MH334 and there are a lot of things I like about it.  Very good detail and vocals sound really nice and clear.  I am also using a Sony Xperia smartphone and it still sounds decent.  Also, the build quality really is some of the best I’ve seen with a CIEM.  The demo unit is unfortunately not very comfortable to use.  I can get a good seal, but my left ear feels very sore after extended use (I know this won’t be the case with the customs).  I did have a couple of questions:

1) The demo came with a very stiff black cable.  Is this the standard cable that comes with the FitEar range?  I prefer a cable which is more flexible such as the Westone type.

2) There are some songs where I feel the MH334 is lacking some bass.  I gather there is quite a big difference in the bass between the MH334 and MH335DW, but is the overall sound signature very different?  I do like the sound signature of the MH334 in general and so wouldn’t something that is darker.

1. Yes. The 001 cable is standard. I usually use one of the Toxic Cables or Tralucent cables. Better sound as well.

2. The 335 has more visceral bass. You could call that a warmer sound. But it is offset by sparkly trebles and clear mids. Give it a try. :)

Sometimes I feel the high tone vocals are a bit harsh, I am not a fan of the way they position the vocals, very forward and right on top of my forehead, I am not an expert, please correct me if I were wrong.
I am talking about the togo 334.

Coolmingli, perhaps you may get more discussion in the TG334 thread.

Going to Tokyo tonight. I have appointment with Fitear tomorrow morning. Still unsure about which model I'm going to buy though :p . I wish it wouldn't be the 335 :p

Curious, how should I clean the CIEM when earwax goes past the length of my cleaning tool? I've been trying to not let that happen but...

Perhaps try getting yourself a hearing aid dryer? Once it's dried out, it might be easier to gently knock out the dried up ear wax?

Hi,

Can anyone please help me confirm the wait time on a pair of 334 customs? Jaben in Melbourne told me 2 months - however it seems that people are waiting up to half a year for their orders to be completed!

thanks,

gav.

Hopefully my 335s arrive this month, as forecasted! About 4.5 months
