The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread

Hi everyone
First time posting on Headfi

I have ordered my DC Ti for about 2 months
Also converted my Orbit Saga cable to Fitear connector, sitting there to wait for the DC Ti

I am using wm1a, mojo2, DC Elite as sources. Wonder anyone has tried if these sources are powerful enough to drive DC Ti?
The Sony should be fine. I listen at 60/120 on high gain. :)

The Sonnet of Adam paired with FitEar Titan keeping me company and sane as I await...

Hi @Kiats. How does this pairing sound like?

More or less decided on the titan, and am trying to figure out what cables would go well with it. Did try it with the Leonidas II Octa yesterday and it seems much better than stock creator in the short session I had.

I think it gives the Titan fuller bodied mids whilst not impairing the treble extension. Also adds note weight which is great for the bass.

Agree. The stock creator cable does nothing for me. And besides, I am a FitEar customs kind of guy. :)

Pulled the trigger on the Fitear Titan. Now just waiting for fitear's side to confirm if I need to do impressions since mine were done from Mook 2013.

It's been a really expensive weekend at Canjam 😅
But money definitely well spent! :)

Been listening to my mh334 for a little while now. I've bought these off another headfier as the standard 334 but he said that it might be the studio reference according to someone else. I frankly have no idea which model it is, tried listening and comparing to graphs but I can't tell.

If someone here could match the crossover components to their 334 or SR that would be nice. I see one resistor, two of the long, black components and one yellow component (I don't know much about electronics...) if that helps. Thanks in advance.

The simplest way to spot a SR should be the titanium tube at the sprout leading to the treble driver, which is the smallest one in the setup.

My 335SR has all the crossover components hidden and wrapped up with something like a piece of heatshrink. Not sure if those in the regular 335/334 would be exposed.

Isn't that something unique to the 335DWSR? Pretty sure no 334 or 334SR has a titanium tube, unless someone sticks one in there.

I just double checked and I guess you are right on that. Maybe someone else can chime in on the whether the SR components are wrapped and hidden point.

Could anyone tell me the sound difference ( in terms of soundstage, resolution, vocal) between FitEar MH334 and DC Ti?

Currently I have Sennheiser IE900 to listen anime songs (e.g. milet, LiSA) and OST (e.g. Hans Zimmer, Evan Call), and I hope to upgrade it to either custom-made MH334 or DC TI. I love the resolution and soundstage of IE900 but I don't quite like too much bass. Though today I have an opportunity to listen both of these IEMs, I am so tired and I can't hear the difference between MH334 and DC Ti. Could someone tell me that in terms of soundstage, resolution, and vocal, which one is better as an upgrade option for IE900?

I think it is, my 334SR never had it but do have the crossover wrapped over

The MH335DWEX is launching

Kinda getting confusing with the 334/335 line now

Excluding the pro line

MH334
MH335DW
MH334SR
MH335DWSR
MH335ht
MH335DWEX
From the overview from Twitter i get the following:

For those who want a sound they can use in the Studio: MH335DW Studio Reference (aka TG335)
Target: Making the MH335DW more balanced.
Sound: Leave the bass as it is and increase the treble performance

Increase the Quality of the original MH335DW with parts that were not available at the time
MH335ht
Target: Re-Develop the MH335ht with new parts and development methods that were not available at the time
Sound: Increase the treble and make the Bass more Linear. its idea for listening to music.

MH335DWEX
Target: Pursue the best sound when there is a lot of information in the music while using a Double Woofer
Sound: Increase the treble and adjust the bass to not let sound left behind. The best tool for the Studio or other Monitoring Situations

So yes, it is getting a bit complicated. It seems like the MH335DW Studio Reference and MH335DWEX are made for the same job but the MH335DWEX is better.

Actually it sounds like the MH335DWEX is the best of all, so i don't really get why the others still exist. The description is very very loose on what they are and how they archive that.
