The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread

Let's say Japan? Do they have the policy of selling the TG335dw to only Japanese resident or requiring address in Japan?

I suppose so far nobody has listened to this pair of 335 universal yet right.
The policy Japan FitEars are to be sold to Japan residents only. I believe the client will need to prove residency. Any workarounds shouldn't be discussed here.

Thanks for the info. FitEars being FitEars..

But since the TG335dw is a universal, I wonder whether these will be sold in the international market via their distributors in the future? Just like how TG334 was sold in the international market last time.

Kinda OT as there's a separate thread for FitEar universals, but TG!334 are now "pre-order" like customs & therefore follow the same process as FitEar CIEMs. I've not heard of the TG!335DW but if there is, then I won't be surprised if it followed the TG!334 policy.

  No one interested in this?

Only if they take overseas orders, since they weren't with the original Monet.

*For those not knowing - Fitear is releasing a true successor to the Monet CIEM - Monet 17.  Configuration is the same as before 3 way crossover/3 unit/4 driver design.  2 driver is dedicated to mid-low range, and 2 driver with different characteristics covering the high range.  Again the claim is that it is tuned for anime songs, this time with an emphasis on vocals.

I read on the Phileweb that it's now less peaky in the upper register compared to the previous version, more 'otona mitai' sounding.

I hunted down that piece, it wasn't a listening impression but Phileweb repeating the PR line from Fitear.  Will have to see if it actually lives up to the claim (I really hope it does, if wouldn't hesitate to add it to my collection, especially with the cheap yen)

Worth noting is that not only they are discontinuing the original Monet, but Fitear is also planning to offer current Monet owners an upgrade option to the Monet 17.

I really enjoyed the Monet 17 (not that I'd have one so it'll have to be made from scratch rather upgrade). It's less bassy than the 335DW-SR & more airy & spacious. If the 335DW-SR was closer to the stage, the Monet 17 is a few rows further back.

I asked Suyama-san about this and he mentioned he does have plans to have the Monet 17 available overseas. I don't know the timeframe though.

How do you compare it with Aya? Because for me, Aya also less bassy and more spacious than the MH335DW-SR

I haven't heard the Aya in quite some time. My memory is bad but does the Aya have an extended treble compared to the 335DW-SR? Somehow my memory kinda says "No" but can't remember if I'm mixing it up with the FitEar fitear.
