Doesn't look like a Senn.
Nor a Beyer.
Audeze? No resemblance.
Philips and Sony... Perhaps.

Wait... Your avatar looks like an AKG!

AKG... AKG... AKG... You can't deny it now. :)

new headphones are interesting but not that interesting as the current crop, whether dynamic or electrostatic, are very good. if sony re-made the R10, that would exciting; otherwise, a new headphone is just that -- new (and maybe a little different) but probably not better than what is out there.

What are those little drill holes, is this open back. Maybe it will be like a denon d7100 where they covered the wodden cups with that plastic thing.

And for some reason, it looking see through gives me the impression it needs flashing led lights.

If it's an "on-ear" headphone then who cares? It doesn't matter if it's the world's first pink headphone either. It's only worth talking about if it's a promising new technology.

What the heck is this thread anyway? :p FWIW, the pic above reminds me of the drilled glass from the Sennheiser Orpheus, looks like a similar component, rather than the finished product.

...I'll still check in every other week to find out what the heck the reveal is, don't judge me! >.<

My inclination is that the picture Nomax posted is a part of the base station, for what will be Sony's new flagship, featuring a revolutionary new wireless transmission technology, with higher fidelity and greater radius.  But i hope I'm wrong.  Because that seems lame.

Every so often a new high-end headphone comes out and Nomax hypes it as the best evar.

So far, none of the headphones hyped by him have been the best evar, so I doubt the HD800 or the SR009 have anything to worry about by the release of  this "FIRST REAL HIGH END ....... HP".

It will probably be a good headphone though (perhaps).

Once this real high end is released, he will go on to introduce the MOST WONDERFULLY WONDERFUL....HP ever released.   Gotta hand it to him though,  his threads are immensely entertaining.

The Company which will make DIANA has already produced in the past one of the five best sounding HP in this industry, and in this case it will be not from AKG!
