I would love to see what Nelson Pass himself (I'm not that impressed with Pass Labs design) could come up with for a headphone amp design, possibly using his Supersymmetry circuit topology.

  I don't think any proper conclusions can be made from that picture. That could be pic from the back grill of a $10 headphone sold at bestbuy for all we know.

 
Well that's exactly what it looks like from the picture so let's just hope that's not a truly accurate depiction of what the final product will actually look like.

I love the ridiculous title to this thread though.  So the lower priced model in the Abyss line will be the "first real high end hp in the world"?  Yawn.  What does that say about the Abyss actually?  It was simply a money grab at its absurd price point?  "We took all your moneys...the whole whopping 200 or less of you that actually paid $5.5k for our first offering in to the headphone world....now we will give you true high end for less."  Give me a break with this nonsense.  People these days literally can not do anything without inserting hyperbole.
