I put together this firmware for me. I tried to keep it as clean as the original. It has darker backgrounds, lighter and bigger letters, including playing count. Also, theme 4 is based on EinTheVariance.

I recently bought the Shure SE425 and I really like them. I am not an audiophile, however I believe I can distinguish good sound from bad sound (for example, I always tried to avoid Bluetooth). Now, having my X3ii paired with the SE425, would be any noticeable improvement adding a A3 Amp?

No - because the SE425 are easily driven by the X3ii, adding another amp stage won't net any noticeable gains. The DAC and amp on the X3ii are already very good.

Hello everybody,
I am expecting Aigo MP3 108 player but recently came across a lot of good reviews about X3 II gen and now am at a loss. X3 II costs twice as much as Aigo.
Does anybody have them both and can compare them as far the sound is concerned?

I haven't heard the Aigo, or the X3ii (I have the X5ii), but looking at the specs the X3ii is the much more capable player. The Aigo has less format support, far less output power, the dynamic range and channel separation figures are poor and although they don't list output impedance I suspect it's around 2 Ohms (they recommend >16 Ohm headphones) - the ideal output impedance is as close to zero as possible.
Given the price difference this isn't unexpected, but I wouldn't expect miracles from the Aigo. Many smartphones have better specs and format support than the Aigo.
Recently I bought the X3 2nd gen as a replacement for my iPod but soon after I discovered that using iTunes with the iPod always worked, and I took it for granted.
Volume Adjust, Library Index, MultiCD order, they all failed on me with the FiiO X3, sadly.
So I tried to solve every issue I encountered and managed to do so, my solution is called: FiiOSync and is Mac (and of course iTunes) only.
It is a free application for the Mac which will sync your m4a and/or mp3 library from iTunes to the FiiO and while doing so apply the correct tags for ReplayGain track/album, Multi-CD track-numbers and title/album/genre copied from iTunes.
I figured probably more people would be interested in such an application, hope it will help some who struggled with the same issue.
Hi. New x3ii owner. Is there a way to turn the screen on when pressing any button? Just like in the ipod classic, while the screen is off, pressing any button will turn the screen on. With x3 i still have to press power before i can turn the screen on.
