Would an external Anker battery pack charge the FiiO x3

of course it would! i have a limefuel (i prefer that brand over anker, great customer service and products, better build quality), and it charges my fiio just fine. you should strive to use a 2.1A port as that can pass more current than the usual 500mA computer port or 1A ports on most battery packs. more current = faster charging, all usb is specced at 5V. 2.1 is kinda prime charging with todays electronics.

Hello guys,

I see some people have been trying to mod the X3 2nd gen firmware without success. I have some instructional material here for theme DIYing that were halfway prepared and then left on the back burner for some reason

I've decided to post what we have so far online, hope it helps you guys! I haven't tested it on X3 2nd gen firmware though, let me know if it works?

All eyes are on you now @JaZZ

If I were into serious theme customizing, you would have seen some of my creations in the X5 firmware thread. In fact I'm just egoistic and do some modest modding just for myself.

Also, I don't think I have the skills to do that.

Just hooked up the new Fiio to a Galaxy S4 (UAPP) via micro to micro OTG.
Interface of UAPP + sound of X3 2nd gen = Jej.

Can I ask you where you got the Buckingham-Nicks album from? I know there are some bootleg CDs around somewhere. I don't think it was ever released on CD officially just vinyl. I did read they were going to release it last year on CD but it never happened...

I have just discovered that the X3 gen 2 database cannot hold my CD collection. I have 557 albums containing 7100 tracks but it stops updating after 5800!

All albums are there if I go to the file browser. Help!

It's a category playback limitation in the FW that FiiO has already fixed on the X5. I would expect a fix for the X3 II down the line.
