...
I'm of the opinion the original X3 will become a collectors item much like the 5.5 gen ipod video.

I recently bought an additional X3 when I found it on sale for $169.

Not as a collector's item, but as backup, since I'm in love with the sound, and prefer the treble and bass controls over the EQ.

I'm hoping the EQ on the second generation X3 will be more to my liking. (I also have an X1, so I'm a devoted FiiO fan.)

i really dont get it. why people keep on making daps with microsd instead of SD cards.... this is basically the main issue for me which causes me to even consider other players.. if the new X3 woul;d have SD slot it would have been perfect.

yes, the problem is the price.
@Replicant187 if im too cheap to buy microsd over sd cards there is no way im gonna buy the players you are talking about

only thing i do consider is the geek wave.. but only after it goes retail and reviews are available

Yeah, but then 128GB cards were astronomical at the start of last year, and Amazon is now selling them for £55 including VAT. So this is good news: in 14 months or so I won't have to worry about space any more

.

Yep, i got mine for $200 US dollars but i like mine

What's wrong with microSD, I like the small size, having standard size SD card woud require lots of space ont eh aminboard and perhaps a thicker device

The Geek wave is going to cost a fortune so that's not really going to help you save money.
