Anyone knows how to disassemble X1? I think the battery got bloated because I noticed that the back cover where the battery is, is not "snapped in place" anymore. Pushing it back does not do anything.

The dap is already out of warranty so.. yeah. I love the X1 and its kind of hard for it to let go D:

Dear Dyaems,
Sorry to hear about that. Please accept our sincere apologies for bringing inconvenience.
We have instruction of disassembling the X1: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=8BAEEC4662EA146C!120&authkey=!ANFbdFLSNRPLPQQ&ithint=file%2cflv
1. We can send you the battery of X1 to you for replacement if you prefer this.
2. Or you can send the X1 back to us in China for repair.
If you can accept either of the choice above, please send an e-mail to support@fiio.net, we will guide you the following step. It will be appreciated if you attach the picture of the detective for us to confirm the problem.
Thank you!

I just received my X1 and I'm really digging the sound and the UI which I'm pleasantly surprised with.  The wheel is different then I was expecting and I like the functions but the durability does concern me a bit.  Has there been issues with it wearing out or not working over time?

Dear big45-70,
Thank you for your support to our X1.

Generally, the X1 can work fine when using normally so please don't worry. And we have one-year warranty for it.
If you have any problem in X1, please feel free to contact us.

I just got my x1 two days ago and it has already died. It refuses to power on, but the led lights up when charging. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I have not mistreated it in any way. The only problem I can think of is that it is really hot outside in Louisiana so maybe it overheated, but now it refuses to power on.

^_^
better ask for directions than stay lost. any system can freeze for some reason, knowing why is another matter. personally I had one freeze the very day I got the DAP and none ever since, so I really didn't look too much into it. if it happens often, then you'll have to try and see if it can be the files you're using, the card, maybe the firmware that needs to be reinstalled, or if it's a matter that need to send the DAP back.

... So, in my defense, the button is small. XD
Well it works now. That's one less thing to worry about. Thanks @castleofargh. I wish the fix wasn't so simple, maybe then I wouldn't feel so dumb.
What could have caused it to mess up in the first place?

Glad you solved your problem

Actually that's the way it usually works.  You return it to the agent you purchased it from.  They arrange the RMA. Most businesses work like this.  FiiO isn't doing anything that doesn't normally happen.

what kind of battery does it take,  is there a model number or any kind of description.  It could be a cheap fix.

Hi, smy1
If you are still in the warranty period, and there are some hardware problem with the product, contacting the seller/ local distributor for help would be a faster and more convenient way. So we asked you to contact your seller in order to save your time in solving the problem. Hope you can understand, thank you!
