Hi everyone. Forgive me for asking something possibly already covered in the thread. I´m seriously  thinking of getting the X1 and lining it out to the E12 preamp which I already own. I guess some of you might be using this combo. My question is obvious: What´s the SQ like of the combo as opposed to the X1 on its own ? How does this compare to higher Fio or Ibasso DAP´s ? Thanks a lot for replying.
I use this combo often. It gives it a bit more in the low-end in my opinion. I think the overall sound is better as well.

When there will be leather case for X1?

Not sure if it's actual leather - but have you seen the LC-X1 http://www.fiio.net/en/products/35

I have that case for the X5.  Very well-built.  Solid.  Tight-fitting as well.  In fact it's hard to get the player out of it to get access to the sd cards, so I often just plug in and change files while it's in the case (unfortunately with slower transfer speeds than putting the card in a card reader).  Not really the case's fault, better than fitting too loosely.

Forgive me for asking such an obvious question, but I assume you can transfer your music from your PC onto the microSD card inserted in the X1 by hooking it up with the micro USB cable, am I correct? I can't imagine you'd have to use a card reader every time you want to load new tunes on your microSD card.

You can load your music either with a card reader, or directly onto the microSD card while it's in the player. The "card reader method" is generally a lot faster. Since I tend to just import a playlist-in-a-folder, one at a time, I often just load it directly into the player.

Keep having issues with this AGAIN...not impressed....loads of files when I go to play them say Playback Failed, File Not Found, despite being 100% there in folder browsing on my pc and media player programs and they play fine from all of those. some are m4a's, some mp3.

and when is this damn 5800 song limit nonsense going to be dealt with? or externally made m3u playlists being able to be found in the normal Category section instead of the folder browsing section :\ oh, and what about some more themes? :S also how do you go about getting another silicone case for this? after taking my player out to show people it de-cased 3 times the damn thing is already really loose and flaps all about :\

doesn't seem the rep checks this enough as tons of peoples questions get passed by or buried on a near daily basis too.
