Question About DX90 DAC Under Windows 7 64 Bit

I've read on this and other forums that the dac drivers for PC / Windows are unsigned and won't load automatically after a reboot.

You can sign it yourself, like I did.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll search for how to do that.
Do you know if it downconverts / downsamples when used as PC DAC or preserves 24 bit and > 44.1 KHz sampling rates?

I was not aware of that, but after verification it seems so. Max setting in windows = 16bits/48kHz

iBasso posted last week that they would be releasing the signed 64 bit drivers next week i.e. the week after their long National Holiday.

Great news from ibasso!

Hi,
Thank you for your email again.
We will release both of the signed USB-DAC driver and the new firmwares for the DX50 and the DX90 after our National day long holiday.
The new firmware will have L/R balance control and support M3U.

Sincerely
iBasso Audio

This all sounds great to me! Balance control is a great idea, for those weirdly lopsided recordings...

CL Duet ^

+1. That's what comes to mind immediately for me, especially if you can go balanced. You can also consider the ALO audio MK3B, which has a bit more power behind them, but to me, the Duet is a bit cleaner.

Both are great choices though!

+2 on the Duet!! It is a wonderful portable amp. I find it to be more powerful to the ALO RX though

For me the SR71-B works really well driving my balanced HE-500. Have never tried it with HD800
