Good deal.  I got one a while back for $5.00.  Works great for a bunch of my headphones.  It is plastic, but has good weight to the bottom of it.

EDIT:  This is what it looks like with my Digitech Pro Monitors / Brainwavz HM5 / Fischer Audio FA-003

Pioneer Dual Driver Headphones for 40$

They have good Amazon reviews

Just a word of warning... even terrible sounding headphones tend to get pretty great reviews on Amazon. And Newegg, for that matter. The problem is that the very large majority of buyers on those sites don't know the difference between a good sounding headphone and one that just looks good and comes in fancy packaging. Basically, if the headphones sound any bit better than the earbuds that came with their phone or mp3 player, they'll pretty much give it 5 stars.

Fostex TH-900 on TTVJ Day Deals:

http://www.ttvjaudio.com/dealoftheday.asp

$1799 - is a decent discount, with a great warranty, and excellent return service.

PriceJapan.com has it at $1582... I think that even with shipping, it might save you extra bucks...

True, that is were I purchased my pair. But if a buyer is on the fence about whether or not they will like the sound/presentation of an expensive can such as the TH-900, returning them all the way back to Japan is quite costly. TTVJ is in the states, and I've heard that Todd even pays for return shipping in certain situations. Great guy to deal with, and worth the extra money to some.

Not headphones, but if anyone is looking for desktop monitor speakers, Shoreline has the Audioengine A5+ open box / closeout for $239.95 with free shipping.  Normally $399.00.

I've bought from Shoreline before with no problems.

They are a good company and I always keep an eye on their close out merchandise. Fir example they have a DT1350 for only $199

Personal opinion, that should be regular price for those cans. Beyers are great headphones but sooooo over priced. Only cans that have great value are the DT990/250. For $199 and under you won't find better headphones.

Quick question for those that bought the refurbished HD650 from VMinnovations, do they come with the original box? Or is it one of those plastic bag with headphones only? Thanks.

+1 one that question. Anyone know if they come with the original box?

Great if it comes in original package, but I wouldn't care at all.  I'm just happy that I got it under $300.

Yeah... I'm happy too, except it's slowly sinking in that I just put down almost $300 for a pair of headphones and this is my biggest purchase yet.
