Yeah... I'm happy too, except it's slowly sinking in that I just put down almost $300 for a pair of headphones and this is my biggest purchase yet.

You and me both... the HD650 purchase is my biggest single purchase (so far), so there is more than a bit of "what did I do"

I'm sinking as well.  I recently bought denon d600, pro900, hd650, and few other cans.  I don't know where to put them anymore lol.

Glad I'm hearing this from others. I haven't jumped over the single item cliff so far, but I'm certainly thinking it about what I've spent in aggregate the past few weeks.

You'll probably end up sending either the D600's or pro 900's back. Very similar in what they do... Do you already have those two and if so how do they compare?? Nothing fancy just initial thoughts

I know this isn't a review thread, BUT.... I just picked up the Pioneer se-mj751 from bestbuy for $39.  Long story short I do not recommend them

Do you know the difference between the two?? Just 1 or 2 quick notes as to how they've improved??

Thanks,

From what I can remember of what I've read, the new 'x' versions have a tad more bass (which is welcomed because most people found the older versions to be rather bass shy) but I've never tried either version and these new ones just recently made their way to the U.S. after being available in Japan for the last little while since they came out. Hopefully someone else around here has some experience and can chime in.

I have the AD700 and been eyeing the AD700x. I got to audition them from a friend and aside from the aesthetics, it has has a little bass compared to the previous version with almost non-existent bass. Waiting on a reasonable priced AD900x to pick up instead.
