Bought a used V60. Listening to local files through their quad dac is pretty close to listening to 1A (WMOne-Bright) through the 3.5mm port, except that 1A is a bit more resolving and with a tad more bass (maybe). Was planning to get A55 for extra portabality but V60 seems to get the job done.

V60 3.5 port did become loose contact after 1k hrs of use, not all headphone jacks works study now.
Highly irritating while evening walk, reconnect jack then unlock screen and play music again.

I bought my V60 to use on the go with wired IEMs but in truth all I use it for now is LDAC to Sony XM4. When I'm at home I have the Sony WM1Z and Z1R, and the V60 doesn't really play on the same field. That said I still use the V60/XM4 extensively at home, probably even more than the wired gear, purely for convenience (and easy calls). It's a brilliant phone, especially with the dual screen.Bought a used V60. I agree, V60 not in league as Sony Daps. But during evening walk and jog, I like V60 + IEM's more then Sony XM3.
Do not like to carry WM1Z for jogging, very heavy.
Exactly my point on it being extra portable. Obviously not on the same league but good enough for me to listen to music during outdoor activities.I agree, V60 not in league as Sony Daps. But during evening walk and jog, I like V60 + IEM's more then Sony XM3.

Does anybody here use Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7B with Sony NW-WM1Z? Looking for impressions.

I use my NW-A55 for jogging or what not. Still maintain the Sony sound signature in a smaller package.Exactly my point on it being extra portable. Obviously not on the same league but good enough for me to listen to music during outdoor activities.
That was my initial plan, to get the A55 for those outdoor activities. But it will means that I need another device for music listening. The tonality of V60 is almost similar to WM1A (WMOne-Bright) from the 3.5mm port (at least to me). It loses in technicality, some detail and bass (at least for me. I didn't do extensive A-Bing though). But the main advantage for me is I don't need to have another additional device for listening since V60 is good enough for music and as my primary mobile phone.I use my NW-A55 for jogging or what not. I have ordered another set of headphones for my Wm1a and/or Wm1z. I wanted a nice closed headphone and the Denon 9200 was on sale over here. I actually enjoy the HD800s that I have, but sometimes I like to be a bit more sealed of the noise in house or leak less noise Curious how I am going to like them...

Everything I’ve read about the 9200s has been stellar- congratulations! Fingers crossed it’s everything you hope for!I have ordered another set of headphones for my Wm1a and/or Wm1z. I've owned the D5200 and D7200 and one day want to try them, the Denons are very easy to drive with the WM1A/Z - enjoy. I think those wood cups make them one of the best looking headphones.I have ordered another set of headphones for my Wm1a and/or Wm1z. I had the D5000 but they were at best semi closed and leaked so much that my wife vetoed themI've owned the D5200 and D7200 and one day want to try them, the Denons are very easy to drive with the WM1A/Z - enjoy. I think those wood cups make them one of the best looking headphones.

Haha, the other important factor in headphone purchases, I've had to change iems I used in bed for the same reason. I think when I had my D2000/D7000 I was working different hours to my partner so it wasn't an issue.I had the D5000 but they were at best semi closed and leaked so much that my wife vetoed them
I'd love to experience open backs but they are a no go. I don't actually get complaints, I just get fed up with her telling me it must be too loud for my hearing because of the leakage or when I'm listening to something like Slayer I tire of her mocking me by mimicking headbanging very distracting.
A great aspect of the MDR-Z1R is doesn't leak sound, unfortunately the Z7 I currently own do.

I bought some Audeze LCDs and have been able to use them with a 3.5mm adapter ok (I have a Nayparm modded WM1A running MrWalkman in higher gain). Is there a difference in circuitry between balanced and unbalanced? If the 3.5mm socket drives them fine, is there anything to be gained by using a 4.4mm terminated cable instead to use the balanced connector?

I keep hearing that Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7B pairs well with NW-WM1Z/NW-WM1A, so I finally ordered a pair.I bought some Audeze LCDs and have been able to use them with a 3.5mm adapter ok (I have a Nayparm modded WM1A running MrWalkman in higher gain).
